Wow! I’d pay to see this one. Qawi was a tough dude. I remember his fight against Matthew Saad Mohammed. He was a super short and aggressive guy. I think AB would win but Qawi was a very tough guy so it would be close. I miss these types of fighters.
Beterbiev hasn't done enough to prove that he could match with the Camden Buzzsaw. Qawi would not only school Beterbiev but he would put a savage beating on Beterbiev.
Not in the grand scheme of things. I'm much more impressed by fighters who fighters who are better than 2-0 vs ranked fighters, and weren't dropped by one and out-boxed by the other.
I think he's a very good fighter (and I'd pick him up beat Bivol up) but there's levels and I think Qawi is clearly above him. Also, my opinion of Beterbiev being overrated comes from interacting with someone who doesn't know as much about LHW as me (although TBF, it's easily the division I know the most about) who also happens to be a massive Beterbiev fan, so that may skewer my view on whethet I find him overrated or not.
Wait a darn minute... did you just use logic?!? On this forum with someone who has a differing opinion to yours? I.... I don’t understand. WHERES THE ALL CAPS?!?!? Where’s the nonsense about another boxer that’s completely unrelated? My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Hope you’re happy. On a side note I don’t know as much about LHW as I should. I too shall defer to George however it would be a hell of a fight.
I feel really smug but quite ashamed that the first thing I thought when I read this was honestly "obviously, I know than everyone".
Mainly by those who didn't think he could beat Gvozdyk. I rooted for him and wish he got better fights years ago. Not so sure he'd do well against Qawi's jab and great head movement. Plus, he could outwork you. As you know @George Crowcroft , the Golden Era of LHW's were no joke!
