Roy Jones Jr. vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. and let's say that they're in the same weight, who would win?

But he wasn't Mark. He wasn't and everyone but you can see it. Him at 51 years old has absolutely no bearing on this conversation.

James Toney and B-Hop are 100% on Floyds level.

Really hard to say isn't it !

I thought Roy would've moved round Tyson with not much fuss after the first 2-3 rounds where I expected Mike to be lively but given Roy had still been boxing up until 2-3 years ago and Mike had been out for 15+ years, I thought even though Mike looked good on 10 second bag clips it would tell.......... but clearly that wasn't the case and Roy's legs look like they've completely gone and Tyson looked the better of the two.

Exact same scenario with Benn, just like Tyson he still looks like a beast when smashing the pads and he's been inactive for circa 20 years.

    Floyd

I would expect it to be competitive early and then Floyd takes over to win a decision

Im not saying Judah is Jones but I think it could be argued that Judah was a naturally faster better athlete and once Floyd worked him out...

    Floyd

Judah was very gifted physically, but he had extremely low boxing IQ. One of the lowest of all title holders in boxing history. RJJ was very gifted physically and had high boxing IQ, he was really smart fighter, so there is a huge difference between them

Tough call for me. Jones fought two guys that resembled Floyd in Hopkins and Toney. Hopkins had a good fight where he lost a competitive but clear decision. Jones was still a little new in his pro career and probably wasnt at his best just yet, same could be said of Hopkins. The other fighter Jones fought that resembled Floyd would be Toney and Jones destroyed Toney with a wide decision win.

Now Floyd has better feet than Toney who could be stationary but he doesnt have the power of a Hopkins or a Toney. Like these guys he is a great counter puncher with excellent technique and timing. He also doesn't have the offense of Toney at least not at 147 nor the dirty tactics of Hopkins though he could get rough in there when he has to I just think Hopkins bent the rules more

Floyd didnt face guys that I would say resembled Jones maybe Emmanuel Augustus given his unorthodox style and reflexes. Floyd won but he had difficulty and Augustus is nowhere near Jones's level. I saw Judah get tossed out due to his speed, true Judah won a few rounds, scored what should have been a knockdown and was still tricky even after Floyd figured him out but I'm not sure he fights enough alike Jones.

I would give Jones a slight edge

Considering RJJ had some power in his punch when he fought at 160, it's safe to assume he would have that at 147 as well. Floyd on the other hand, wasn't too hard a hitter at 147. I think that difference, as well as RJJ's size advantage (5'11" to 5'8"), would be too much. The speed is near moot here. At 147, prime for prime, RJJ UD or TKO win.

If they were the same size Mayweather would shatter Roy’s Glass Jaw all over the arena they would be picking up shards of glass for weeks.

Well hypothetically they would be able to match up at 1:54 which is Floyd's highest weight class and Roy's lowest weight class. I don't know why everybody says Roy would just dominate remember he fought on too long and lost to so many people after his heavyweight reign. He's been shot for a while. I've never seen Floyd fight an opponent who jabs without looking and then darts out of the way all of a sudden this style of defense and offense is something that Floyd could probably figure a way out of member he is the master of adjustments.

I have said from the start that Judah is not Jones but the point I was making was that Floyd could adapt and work out naturally faster stronger fighters

I could see Floyd's excellent timing taking over
