He already has a stunning KO to his name at HW. Such a lovely shot

    Great read CST80.

I am just going to show up here late and say the same things I been saying all along.

    1) The fight wasn't close. Usyk won ten rounds. People perceive it differently because the Eddie Hearn hype train has spun it differently.

    2) Usyk does what he always does--gave away the first two and won the rest.

    3) It was Usyk that rocked Chisora at the end of the seventh.

    4) Yeah, Usyk didn't look his best, because he threw about 2/3 of the punches he is capable of throwing. It was basically a sparring session to knock so dust off. Which, by the way, is again WHAT USYK ALWAYS DOES. He throws 600 punches against Glowacki, and 900 against Gassiev. He fights as hard as he feels is necessary to win the rounds.

I think some credit has to be given to Chisora as well. He had some nice tricks and an actual gameplan. He didn´t quite let Usyk have his way with him.
No one seems to be giving Chisora his just due for that performance.

Usyk won clearly and schooled del boy in the second best fashion ever (fury nr. 1).

To be honest I would love to see him fight Parker, povetkin and Joyce first and the go after the fury Joshua winner. That would be epic and he would be perfectly acclimated to the really big guys.

IMHO I am not sure he can handle Joshua or fury. So give him some time to be optimally prepared

Sure. Chisora is the kind of the fringe contenders, and everyone knows it. He joins a very well-loved group of guys like Bert Cooper, Jesse Ferguson, etc. in being the guy who provides the test to the greats.

But Usyk won ten rounds, despite what the judges say, despite what Eddie Hearn says, and despite the narrative that has developed around it.

I agree with all of this, except that I don't think Povetkin will come off. He is WBC #1 contender, and besides, I think someone said they have an agreement not to fight due to the tensions between Russia and Ukraine (don't remember who, though).

Would love to see Parker and Joyce first, then on to Joshua.
