Tyson in the McBride fight looked like he didn't train much / or care much at all and quit on his stool.

How would he do against present day Tyson? Yeah, Mike is significantly older now, but seems like he is in better shape with his head screwed on straight.

Is it silly to think that older Tyson would be able to compete here?

This Tyson would beat a young McBride easily, he`d also beat Danny Williams from years back, his fundamentals are back he`s just slower.

It's absolutely ludicrous to suggest that this Tyson - a heavy smoking man who has abused his body for 15 years - is better than a 15 years younger, still professional boxer.

This thread is a good way to weed out the absolute donkeys.

    I agree.

But 2020 Tyson could beat 2020 Danny Williams. That's something at least.

Half of us on here could beat a 2020 Danny Williams, sad to say.

Tyson was just going thru well rehearsed moves against Jones. They both knew what was going to happen, a distance fight, if we can call it fight. Against Williams and McBride he was facing guys that wanted to beat him. The Tyson of now still loses to Williams and McBride, he'd still be knackered after a few rounds.

My guess is Tyson and Jones secretly "practiced" together in ring prior to the exhibition.

Yeah the 54 year old chain smoking pot head with one meaningless exhibition against an overweight middleweight looks like he’s truly returned to form.

2004 Tyson wastes him and McBride and Williams from way back when **** today’s Tyson up too. It’s sideshow stuff now watching Tyson designed to give the mark ants of the world a cheap thrill.

I am sorry but it is not ludicrous at all.Against Mc Bride, the desire was long gone. Now Tyson has more desire and is in better shape.

He has more desire for a mammoth robbing payday, a bout which is the equivalent of a pillow fight, in a build-up and aftermath in which he's worshipped fanatically by his legion of fanboys, whose fanboyism has inexplicably increased exponentially since his last professional outing.

All this while said fanboys use social media to propagate the 2020 public into thinking Tyson would stand a chance against not only a top 30 heavyweight, but a current world champion.

Who wouldn't be "motivated" by that? Especially an egoist like Mike Tyson.

I am not a fanboy. And who is Mc bride? Tyson basically quit in that fight. It is very possible the Tyson of today could have done better against him
