The man with the lowest resources yet somehow he sticks on cards with headline fights that are excellent. Ziani v Dilmaghani was the fight of 2020 - a great fight that one would struggle to match in any arena. Brought Froch and Fury through - hope one day Mick achieves the success he deserves.
Tell you one thing, he would hsve done a 100x better job in matchmaking for Dubios and Yarde. Big strength of Micks and as you say picking contests that will gel on a small budget.
I agree, Tyson Fury had to come through sticky spots against the likes of McDermott, Chisora, Pakjic and Cunningham when he was younger that gained him valuable experience and developed him as a fighter, Dubois and Yarde had none of that before being thrown in with Joyce and Kovalev.
Ziani v Dilmaghani was the fight of the year, I think by a long way. Every thing about channel 5 boxing is great, straight into the main event and off air before anyone has had a guts full. The polar opposite of last nights card ( and especially BJS v Murray ).

Not as sleazy as Hearn and Warren and therefore won't get ahead in this business. As already mentioned above, he's indeed a very fine promoter.
I think he's well respected in the boxing world. He always comes across as honest and sincere which is what I like to see in people. Some of the matchmaking is a bit too soft imo sometimes but I suppose that has to happen on occasions, depending where a specific fighter is in his career
Pretty astute of him to take on Chamberlain. A very gifted boxer who could do well I think. Obviously the Okolie fight was horrible, but that aside Chamerlain is a good fighter.
One of the good guys in boxing. Hope he manages to get hold of someone special and hangs on to them for a bit.
Eddie can try his forced wideboy act all he wants, but he'll never notch up a tv moment like the "shades of Ali" rant.
