MMA great Asanya tried boxing back in 2014 and looked pretty good, he got robbed fighting a low level Australian fighter, could he have been a decent boxer?

Hard to come into boxing in your 20's and compete against people who have been doing it since they were kids.

Anyone can look good against the right opponent...or stiff.

    Hard? Yes.
    But totally doable.
And Adesanya is one talented mofo.
I think it's fair to say that he would have been a damn fine boxer.

Assuming 175, I would be afraid for him if he fought someone like Joe Smith, never mind Kovalev, Beterbiev, Bivol and others.

He`s got better fundamentals than Beterbiev but nowhere near the power.

He's one of the few MMA guys with actually top level boxing so yeah I'd fancy him to do quite well.

That's the only boxing match Israel lost he beat 5 other boxers including Brian Minto

Guys a striking genius with just kickboxing experience he was at the National level in pro boxing the world-class guys at 175 would have gone through him like butter but if you let him use his full arsenal of kicks knees and elbows they wouldn't make it out of the first round. Israel's boxing is some of if not the best in the UFC. His overall striking is the best in the UFC ever possibly UFC history as well
