Also had some serious management issues and a **** promoter. Ended up fighting nobodies for peanuts because of it.

Yeah, the shitbag promoter put him in injured. I don't know how that happens in this day and age.

Chisora is heavyweights unsung peoples champ. He is never in a boring fight of his own doing , always tries to win even when at a disadvantage, and was never diva enough to say no to a fight with anyone. The man is a ****ing throw back but is never appreciated.
He has almost fought a man from every country on the planet and is not afraid yo leave British soil for a brawl. Everything that boxing fans could want from a fighter.

It should have been a good win for Chisora. Stiverne should also be counted as a good win for Wilder, he was well regarded at the time. Chisora is a warrior, I just think the losses hurt him too much when comparing resumes. He mostly lost to good/great fighters, maybe Wilder loses to all those guys as well. I'd have to think he'd beat a few of them.

Sure, but we are talking about "resume." I am not sure that includes the losses,

I guess you can see it that way. If you are bringing a resume to a job driving a cab, you are going to have to explain your DUIs.

Well, it´s simple. There is no overall governing body or anything like that. All the guys that give out belts, they don´t really do anything besides that.
Boxing commissions rarely flop their dicks around anyways, with the exception of BBBofC and JBC. NYSAC has made some big moves but that´s all in order to protect themselves from liabilities(Mike Perez vs I forgot his name)

It's dirty business having to defend Wilder all the time on here, but the narrative is so distorted these days.

    Wilder has the better wins.

    Chisora:
Helenius and Whyte ''wins'' for Chisora can not be counted.
I think Helenius injured his arm in that fight anyway, so put that in perspective even if you thought Chisora won.
When you take out those phantom wins, what do you really have?
The Malik Scott KO was controversial, possible British Stoppage, the guy was up at 9.
Chisora has fought a lot of names, beat some, but look closer and many were past prime.
Even Vitali was old and ready to retire, so crediting Chisora for lasting with an old Vitali is a bit silly.

    Wilder:
Stiverne was a dangerous fighter, he messed up Arreola twice, more than Vitali did.
Pole Hooligan was on a good run at the point Wilder fought him.
Ortiz was also dangerous when Wilder fought him.
    Almost beat Fury.
The French guy, Molina and Brezeale would give Chisora very tough fights, possibly beat him.

Wilder is better than Chisora and would KO him. It would look like the first Stiverne fight, until about round five, when it would suddenly look like the second Stiverne fight.

It's close, Chisora's resume perhaps a little deeper but Wilder's win over Ortiz probably slightly better than anything on Chisora's record.

But the fact it's even remotely close says a lot, Wilder was a long standing champion while Chisora is a gate keeper former fringe contender. Wilder may not be the worst champion ever but he's near the bottom end of the list of heavyweight champions.

Chisora defines what a fighter should be. Fight the best opponent available.
