The wlad that nearly beat AJ. The cards were close, some though Wlad was winning, some thought AJ was winning. I personally had it level before the 11th round. I personally think that Wlad would slaughter Wilder, even though he's not at his prime.
please...even against a limited guy like Wilder, wlad would be overly cautious, protecting his glass chin at all costs. at least Wilder threw enough hands to put Tyson on the deck a couple of times.....when did wlad ever show a willingness to get in the trenches like that? wlad could certainly walk away with the W, but it would be another typical, bland and uninspired performance to pad his record.
AJ actually has pretty good reflexes and a decent basic skillset. Wlad was missing him by fractions all night long. Wilder is a sucker for the jab and not hard at all to land on. Barring a freak bomb I think Wlad absolutely controls him with the jab and breaks him down for a late stoppage.
His chin? He wasn't ever down between 2006 and 2017. Many many times. Watch his fights. This content is protected No, he'd KO Wilder faster than he KOed Ray Austin. Easy work.
I would make 40 yr old Wlad the favourite, but come on, at that age his reaction time is not what it used to be, he has a low guard and Wilder has very fast hands. It's not out of the question Wilder gets one through on the chin, especially with his reach. It would be an edge of the seat fight, not a walk in the park.
