It’s clearly better at 147 pounds so Spence is the man.

Spence definitely has the better resume at WW but he’s never faced an elite opponent. Same is true of Crawford but if Crawford beats Manny (if they ever fight of course), even the current version, his WW resume probably surpasses Spence’s. Both are extremely talented elite fighters and this is the most compelling fight in boxing, to me at least. I give Crawford a slight edge but it’s probably as close to 50/50 as it gets. Spence looked like a JMW last nigh and I’ll be curious to see if the size gives Crawford problems.

Glad to see Earl recover completely from his accident. He boxed well last night, controlled the fight and didn’t show any ill affects from the accident. This is good because it closes the door on any of the speculation that he’s not 100%.

You can take Crawford's five fights at welter and Spence's last five fights at welter, when you break the the specifics of each opponent for Spence and Crawford you will find that there is not much difference. Porter is the lone standout but it don't change the over all picture.

Mikey Garcia, Danny Garcia, and Shawn Porter, would all be Crawford's best opponent to date. One legged Benevidez, Ilguakis, old shopworn, Khan and Brook. You can be a fan of Crawford, but let's not stretch reality

Crawford reminds me of GGG. Fights every available challenger yet still doesn't get respect from many. Rodney Dangerfield eat your heart out :risas3:.

You can throw out names but when you look at their resumes, they all pretty much even out. You calling fighters shop worn and one legged but when you compare their win loss records with the others, they pan out pretty even. I wouldn't hype Mikey cause he had no business in there with Spence period. Totally out of his weight and size. As for age, Khan 33. Brook34, Crawford,33, Porter 33, Danny 32. They are all in the same age group. Brook beat Porter, Porter beat Danny. Styles make fights and that's why It took Spence 10 rounds and Crawford 3 to finish Brook. Khan has won as many titles as Danny. This ain't about throwing shade, these are facts. Spence and Crawford's resumes are pretty much the same. Their resumes don't set one above the other.

Khan and Brook are both 45 in boxing years. Extremely shopworn by the time Crawford fought them, and no they aren't equivalent. Crawford didn't fight the Brook that beat Porter, he fought the shopworn Brook with two busted eye sockets and a tough weight cut, after looking like **** in his last fight at 154. Crawford didn't fight the Khan that Garcia beat either. He fought Canelo's half dead leftovers.

Not really, those are just cliche answers and don't explain nothing. If that is the case, why is Pac still beating champions and he's 41 and been in more battles than both of them. Crawford didn't fight the Brook that beat Porter but he definitely fought the Brook that fought Spence. The eye sockets were cool, he fought Brook and the one that was repaired was the one that stood up. At any rate his eye didn't cost him the fight with Crawford. How was it a tough weight cut when after the Spence fight he never went back to 154. Actually, Crawford fought a better version of the Khan that fought Danny, more wiser. Like I said, they are all around the same age and Khan was only knocked out by Canelo. He was beating everybody else until he got to Crawford. So was Brook.

is this for real? Trolling or just arguing for just the sake of arguing?

Somebody is actually arguing that Crawford has a comparable resume with Spence in welter? Lmao

I respectfully disagree. Though Kell Brook had lost to GGG he was still viewed as the best welterweight in the world and put up a stiff defence before Spence beat him into submission. Porter was a reigning world champion. Both Garcia were excellent world class fighters as was the other lad whose name tempo slips my mind. No doubt a sign of old age. It’s not Crawford fault but just the unfortunate nature of boxing politics. No excuse for Porter not pushing for the Porter fight.

I am merely saying Spence has a great resume certainly superior to that of the excellent Crawford at 147 pounds. By the way and for the avoidance of doubt I am not blaming Crawford for not yet facing the best at 147 pounds. It’s down to the unfortunate politics of boxing. He should fight Porter though since Porter and PBC have offered the fight.
