Its subjective. To me floyd's resume is mostly smoke and mirrors, with some solid wins sprinkled in there.

This debate is far too close to ever be truly settled. They'll always be arguments for both sides, and there's always gonna be folk who will belittle the other to the point where it makes their guy's win/loss to the other look either worthless or embarrassing. Floyd was the better man on the night, but that night was five years too late, one fighter was injured while the other was on illegal IVs.

I think Pac had a better career, barely. Other don't, and that's fine.

It's just interesting to see it unfold. As more time passes, more and more fighters and trainers are saying Pacquiao had the better career. Pacquiao's resume is aging like a very fine wine.

People will forget with time that Pacquiao's career was carefully orchestrated.

Yes, he's an ATG, but he definitely had careful matchmaking, and was kept away from Floyd as long as was possible.

I think floyds choosing carefully regardless of the “0” is coming to haunt quicker than I thought. Losses don’t mean you can’t be the best fighter ever, which Pac’s in the running for funnily enough also

completely subjective, and a strong argument can be made for Manny...

but Floyd settled matters between where it counts, in the ring

on one hand we have a good, pious man who is revered by his nation (and many more), and who continues to leave his imprint on the sport long after many (including me) thought that he could.
on the other, we have an obnoxious, materialistic, egotist who is cashing in post-career with ridiculous (but lucrative) exhibitions.

    they are polar opposites.
and even though these are removed from what they achieved in the ring, it definitely impacts how a lot of people perceive them.

I like Pac better as a fighter, but don't give me this "good, pious man" bs. He's a homophobe that hangs out with sadistic mobsters and I haven't heard him use his platform as a national icon and senator to say **** about their corrupt and probably criminal autocrat for president.

Maybe if he just beats another top welterweight.
