nothing worse then a white guy who acts black and is an outspoken victimizationist. shaun king is rock newmans son./
I’ve heard Roy Jones say that in the 88 Olympics, Lennox walked right up to Bowe’s face and told him that he was going to beat him. He tried to psyche him out.
Bowe being afraid of Lewis is utter bollocks. Sounds like the posters who back that argument suffer from a nice case of wishful thinking. I admit some world class fighters have been afraid of certain peers but this is not the case with Bowe-Lewis. I'd also like to ad that Mike Tyson was never afraid to fight George Foreman either.
Lennox always seemed to have no respect for Bowe.. Something in his attitude. Maybe beating him at the Olympics let him know Bowe could not beat him stylistically.
How though when Bowe looked plain awful in two wars with Golota?! At that time Bowe gets destroyed by Lennox.
Because Bowe barely trained for Golata and claimed why do I have to fight bums like the foul Pole instead of fighting for the belts......and he still beat Golata......no low blows and Golata gets stopped or quits, fact,he went low because he could not get Bowe off him and Bowe kept on coming and coming. 1996 Bowe /Lewis is a 50/50 fight......and Bowe would train like mad..........early 90's pawing jab telegraphed right poor balance Lewis gets ko'ed.
His mom was half African American, half Native American. His dad was white. Is one-quarter black ... black? By that measure, he can also open a casino on a reservation claiming he's one-quarter Native American. Guess it depends on what you're selling. I don't know why people who are mostly white don't just say they are white ... when they mostly are. Regardless ... doesn't matter.
"The Foul Pole" wasn't a bum. Bowe trained for Golota before the rematch coming in leaner even and still got obliterated. Bowe was dominated twice in a row. Golota wouldn't get stopped by a '96 Bowe...Bowe is the one who almost died after the rematch. His speech became permanently affected and his behavior erratic thereafter (kidnapping charge). I see a '92/'93 Bowe taking it to Lennox...not '96, by then he was done.
That was Lewis's early days with Manny Steward. Mercer was well prepared and surprised Lennox with his jab. His experience against Holmes helped him develop some boxing skills. In the post fight interview after Holmes, Ray said "I gotta learn how to box." Bowe had a window from '92-94 where he would've been a slight favorite to even $ with Lewis. The Pepe Corea Lewis.
“I refuse to speak in detail about the nature of my mother’s past, or her sexual partners, and I am gravely embarrassed to even be saying this now, but I have been told for most of my life that the white man on my birth certificate is not my biological father and that my actual biological father is a light-skinned black man,” Shaun King wrote on the Daily Kos website.
He is and always was a bum....he never ever won a meaningful fight, quit when the going got rough......and still lost against Bowe TWO times....dem are the facts.
Lewis intimidated Bowe ringside right after Riddick beat Holyfield. Bowe was emotionally sky-high and went up to Lewis hoping to get a reaction. It went the wrong direction for Big Daddy. Instead Lewis was as cool as the other side of the pillow and told Bowe "I'm gonna knock you out just like I did at the Olympics" Bowe kept chirping but he was also backing up as Rock Newman moved in to make sure the "new champ" didn't depart in an ambulance. Lewis coming forward about to take his head phones off. Mind you this is a week after Razor Ruddock who Bowe had been leary of got iced by Lennox Lewis in 2 rounds. Bowe was scared of Lewis. With Eddie in his corner he may have been able to overcome it but we'll never know because he never fought him and was out of boxing by 1996. Lennox Lewis wasn't going anywhere.
