To me he came across as fairly laid back about it in post-fight interviews. That's what I found strange.

Not defending Yarde but when your corner have you up by 17 rounds you probably don't think you need urgency

Tunde Ajayi/Yarde are a good example of the limits of self help and a positive mindset without the experience and fundamentals. Yarde with an experienced trainer, carrying the mindset already cultivated by Tunde could be a quality boxer.

Is it just me that doesn’t feel sorry for Yarde one bit? The lad comes across as an absolute whopper, if he can’t see that Tunde is a clown he must be one himself, your company shows who you are. Yarde never particularly impressed me and Tunde is certainly an absolute joke of a trainer but I don’t buy into the narrative that Yarde would turn into a world beater if he moved trainer either, he is too flawed technically and mentally

Having got Bellew, Jamie McDonnell, Gavin McDonnell, Gill and Fowler bumped off, Penfold's experience proved invaluable for Dillian:gaydude:

What he needs to realise is that saying or believing something wont make it come true as if it is the yellow brick road

I am of this opinion since watching his reaction when the winner was announced and his interview afterwards. I think he’s a clown and him and Tunde are perfect for each other in that respect. As for his abilities, you do most of that learning in the amateurs, it’s drubbed into a fighter to the point that it’s second nature. The exception to the rules in regards to doing well without amateur experience tend to be punchers imo.

Peacock ? After listening to Bowers in Dubois' corner against Joyce, I'd say they were another team to avoid. Dubois couldn't deal with a jab either.

Jimmy Tibbs is a good shout as would be Shane McGuigan.

Is he really that bad tho. I,ve not really followed yardes career much apart from seeing the odd fight. But what do people really expect from a guy that had 13 amatuer fights. Its pretty much too late to train yarde in a conventional manner.

Hes similar to eubank junior in that they came to the game a little bit too late to train them the conventional way...pretty much looks like they try to compensate with more physical training. Tbf to an extent its got them to a decent level...doing just that.

My hunch is they,d probably have less success training in a conventional manner. Its almost too late for them to do it that way. But to give a decent account of himself against kovalev after having only 13 amatuer fights and below average pro fights you cant be doing that bad imo.

Jimmy Tibbs is about 112 years old now. Don't think he is even training fighters anymore is he?. Helping people out here and there. Corner work but not actually training fighters. I might be wrong though.

Yes, in my opinion Tunde is that bad, he is truly awful, shocking, I've haven't seen a "trainer" this pee poor since Stan Johnson (McClellans Trainer).

Tunde is just missing a ridiculous hat,

Must be bad if hes comparable to johnson bud...thst guy should never have been anywhere near a ring.

I,ve not seen much of tunde tbf...just going off looking at yardes experience...i dont think it was possible to be top level starting boxing at 19 and only having 12 amatuer fights...the way i see it guys like yarde are almost over achieving. Again tho other guys that have followed yarde and tunde better will know more than me.
