How about a prime injury free John Conteh? Or a prime 1968 Bob Foster?

If anyone could do it , it would be Foster. Regardless of his disastrous heavyweight adventures, ( Though he did beat some heavyweights, just couldn't handle the very best) Foster was taller than Spinks and also had a longer reach which would be unusual for him.
Foster could jab with Spinks, in fact, his jab may have been harder.
Theirs also the fear and intimidating factor for Foster. I can't help but think of how Spinks looked right before the bell rang when he fought Tyson. It is said "The eyes are the keys to the soul". Spinks eyes looked defeated before the fight started. It was like a death row inmate that has resigned too his fate. No confidence at all.
Would he react that way against Foster?.
Theirs no one Spinks faced at Lt.heavy that made him self doubt.
Foster, who had just as many if not more devastating ko's as Tyson may have caused Spinks to question himself.
If he did, that would be deadly for him.

Bob Foster's left hook was very deadly, and true he had height and reach, though not flashy to watch, Bob was a winner. He did retire with his title, he was champion from 1968-1974.

I can’t see Moore pulling it off. Charles is a good pick

Charles and Moore have the best chance. Harold Johnson would be a tough fight. But I don’t think anyone has an easy time with the Jinx at 175.

Ezzard Charles would eat his soul.

Roy Jones jr unorthodox style would counter the Spinx Jinx and I’d favor Jones to win UD.

Archie Moore wins and Gene Tunney is 50/50.

On fair cards, Spinks isn't undefeated either. And Charles avenged both of his losses, multiple times, by stoppage.

If you beat the champion, and every top comtender of note, as well as two other champions, I'd say that's cleaning the division out whether the title was on the line when you fought for the champ or not.

Why can't you see Moore pulling it off?

Great post. Foster would be right there with Charles and Moore when it comes to dangerous foes.

If Charles can beat Walcott twice, he can beat Spinks once

I’m bias because I’m not really a Moore fan. He’s a great fighter but I’ve never been impressed with what I’ve seen of him.

You're not impressed with him????

I think Moore looks absolutely brilliant on film. Like, one of the ten/fifteen best ever, and tbh, I think he's a pretty bad style for Spinks based on the Davis fight. The cross arm guard, bob and weave and sharp cross-counters really messed with Spinks, and I think Moore was several levels above Davis at literally everything.

Spinks could KO Moore, or he could fight like he did vs Qawi, and use his wonderful lead. But I think Moore wins, and I'd be quite comfortable putting money on it
