In addition to his age, inactivity and lack of true world class ability, Pulev doesn't even have the punch to make this fight remotely interesting. Joshua should dispatch him in no more than three rounds.
Pulev comes out behind the jab and before round two is over begins throwing Hail Mary telegraphed bombs to try to gain some respect. Joshua jabs him at range using the right hand as a deterrent until Pulev makes a mistake and gets hit hard. Here comes the question on my mind... Will Joshua attempt to finish him off like he attempted Ruiz Jr, or did he learn enough let it come naturally?
Pulev has some early success behind the jab, but Joshua decides after a tentative first round to take it to Pulev. Joshua takes control dominates and KO's Pulev inside 3 rounds.
AJ is knocking his little eastern europeon ass back to Yugoslavia. No head movement 40 years old Will eat one right hand and turn into a super noodle And if AJ wants to call out Fury. Let it be known Fury is the A-side. He has what you need, not the other way around. He is the man to beat.
He should. Pulev has a lowly 48 percent KO percentage (14 KOs in 29 fights). But, will he? Joshua has "real" power, but he has been down five times (and rocked other times) in only 24 fights. I don't care what anyone says, that IS NOT good.
This will be a mismatch , Kubrat Pulev will be no match He´s too short , he´s too slow , he don´t have a reach he can´t take a Punch , he don´t Hit Hard and he don´t have a Footwork. As Muhammad Ali would say. Ok maybe replace too short with no head movement / defence. Yes Joshua also makes a lot of mistakes but Pulev is worse.
Even though Pulev does not have a heap of knockouts against Dinu he was throwing with bad intentions. I think if he is aggressive he has the potential to get a ko. I have put $10 on this happening, you never know.
Joshua stops him. Pulev may have success with the jab but he has little else to take AJ out of the fight. It's unlikely pulev can bamboozle him for 12 straight, so at some point AJ warms up, figures a way past it, and fights his match. This is heavyweight though so there's that 5% chance ..
