Is it only me who felt Kuzmin outplayed Bakole? Even i was for Bakole it looked to me as Kuzmin won at least 6 rounds.
I had Bakole winning 6 rounds, but it was close. If Kuzmin was actually willing to put in a bit more work instead of showing up almost 260 pounds heavy he could have won it pretty clear. Bakole vs Chisora or Bakole vs Majidov (probably not gonna happen) could be a good next fight.
Kuzmin won 6,7 rounds clearly. At best you can make a case for a draw, but Bakole didnt win 7 rounds and that 98-92 scorecard was borderline criminal
There is only one person that Kuzmin and his fans can blame for this loss and it's Kuzmin himself. He came into this fight in absolutely afwul, disgusting shape. And please, don't start now: "Oh, but he just does't have body-beautiful build naturally". Neither does Povetkin, but Alexander is real professional and he never came into any fight in such a disgusting shape as Kuzmin did plenty of times
Kuzmin was in awful shape, I agree. These moobs jiggling around made me feel nauseous. Anyway, despite being in awful shape, he still won the majority of the rounds.
Clearly? GTFO. You would have to be enormously generous to find him even 6. *Find me those 7 clear rounds and I will show you how wrong you are.
I had Kuzmin winning clearly. Bake is just a flat footed plodder. Wants to fight at a snail's pace in every single fight. It's no surprise he was easily beaten by a mover like Hunter.
I had it 5-5, I feel like Kuzmin could have won but he wasn't putting in the work to chase him, probably due to awful conditioning. He's somewhat of a waste of talent.
I had Bakole 97-93. Others on the RBR who scored every round the same as me but gave the 10th to Kuzmin had it 96-94. Bakole was the deserved winner, but I was far impressed with either of them. Kuzmin because he came in too fat and out of shape to be active enough to win the slow rounds. He might as well as retire now, if he cant be bothered to train and diet just throw it in. Bakole because he looked old and slow during a number of rounds, was caught on a regular basis by Kuzmin's single shots. Bakole is actually 37 and not 27 which explains this recent performance. Bakole looks a long way off being able to beat Hunter in a rematch or beating anyone in the top 15.
I mean, Congo is a country know for age fraud in other sports like Football, so it wouldn't really surprise me.
Kuzmin is like the Russian Odlanier Solis, talented amateur but just can't be bothered to train and falls short as a pro.
Actually, both Bakole and Kuzmin aren't that bad. They are big, strong, have good chins, but definitely lack something to compete at top-level. That's why Hunter beat both clearly despite being way smaller.
Kuzmin showed up fat 258 just plain fat. If he didnt learn anything from the Hunter fight then hes just wasting his time.
