Who got the better record? (Wins) AJ VS FURY

AJ hands down.

believe it or not Aj actually fought a better version of Wlad than Fury did.
the guy Fury fought was the most timid and reluctant HW fighter I have ever seen, may be since the Fres Oquendo John Ruiz fight. at least against AJ, Wlad LOOKED like he wanted to fight.

if Wilder is the fraud you all claim him to be then you gotta throw that win out (you see how that works?)

so that leaves you with two wins over Chisora. he's a decent guy. solid HW. but 2 wins over Chisora is your best opponent?

ok so compare to AJ:

KO over Povetkin, who gets highly overrated on this forum, but if you wanna rate him so highly then you gotta respect a KO win over him (do you see how that works?)

KO over Whytte. Whyttes a bit similar to Chisora, nothing to special, but a solid HW who comes to fight and has power. Fury and Wilder have shown they want no part of him.

a W over Joseph parker. not the best HW out there, a bit overrated, but hey you people rate him highly so a W over him should count for something

a W over Ruiz, this one is a bit tough cause you can argue that the loss cancels out the win, but once again Ruiz beat AJ, and we all ran out to annoint Ruiz as some great fighter with dynamite hands, so when AJ turns around and makes him look like an underpaid sparring partner, he should get all the credit for it

 

I get your point. But beating Wilder (twice) in America, and stopping the most ferocious puncher in boxing, imo, trumps beating Wlad at Wembley in-front of 90k UK fans.

 

Joshua has the better, more solid record in terms of wins.

If you think that Wilder was the real deal, then that, together with AJ's Ruiz loss, might be enough to make you favour Fury.

That's all going to be moot when they face each other, though.

 

Fury beat the long reigning champions, not a shot Wlad etc. Wilder, unbeaten and supposedly unbeatable. It’s not even close. AJ has no impressive wins - zero

 

Fury winning every minute of every round southpaw v Chisora is more impressive than anything AJ did.

Steve Cunningham is four classes better than Charles Martin.

 

Tyson Fury is the best

Fury would toy with Pulev, Povetkin, Parker, Takam, Whyte and Ruiz.

It's a nice record. Won't matter all too much when Fury blows through him.

 

Are we talking about the same Fury with pretty suspect chin(100% if AJ lands he will hurt him and Fury will go down and AJ will put him in there), that pretty much goes life and death with the colossus Otto Wallin ?
You never really know what version of Fury will shown up, because of his not keeping in shape, when he is not preping and his totally up and down in weight will cost him sooner than later.
And even if the best Fury steps on the ring with Joshua i still believe that Joshua will KO him badly.
Joshua is faster, way more explosive, got a solid footwork(not the best, but he improved drastically in the last year), won`t even mention the power and the combos, its obvious who got the advantages in this. His chin is not rock solid, that is obvious, but Ruiz fight is not a prove of a bad chin, Joshua was hit to the temple and he was concussed, so that lost has nothing to do with his cardio and chin.
His cardio is improved, and will continue to improve.
And still Fury chin is not better, his cardio is okish, but he doesn`t put the pedal to the floor, he never does. His punching output is low, so he pace himself well.
Klitschko for example, when he was with Emanuel Steward and even before that, throwed like 100x time more punches in a round, compare to Fury. And yeah yeah we all know Fury beat Klitschko, but that Klitschko has nothing to do with the younger version of Klitschklo with Steward. He was old, his explosiveness was gone, footwork way slower, hand speed not what it used to be, same for his jab and straight right hand. And most importantly his punching output was way way lower, than what it used to be, simply because he doesn`t have the energy to go for 12 rounds on that pace anymore ....
And no i don`t take anything from Fury, but lets see him how he will look, not at 39, but at 35-36, and what level of opposition he will be facing at that advance age.
And just as you mention Hughie, did you know that old Pulev schooled him ?

 

I give Joshua the same chance I gave Wilder against a fully focused and in condition Fury - a punchers chance. Fury's chin is definitely better. When Joshua gets hit he stays hit, at least for a number of rounds. Fury recovers like Lazarus. If Fury goes down he's going to fight back harder. I don't see that with Joshua. Was in terrible shape mid rounds vs WK and as soon as Ruiz dropped him he never recovered.

 

Surely AJ has the better resume. I'm not a fan of either. Fury beat Wlad, as did Joshua.
We all know what Fury did to Wilder, but most seem to think, and probably rightly so that Wilder was a poor champion with a padded record. Many threads & posts support this.
However, I pick Fury to beat AJ, when they eventually meet. I like Joshua's more measured approach, a plan B I guess.
Fury just seems to find a way though. TF on pts or late stoppage for me.

 

No it doesn’t to the people who actually realise Wilder was overrated and protected.

 

Fury beat a champion who had 10 title defenses with a record of 43-0 42 knock outs.

Wilder shits on everyone on Joshua resume and is so far ahead

Wlad was in great shape for the Joshua fight. The Fury/Wlad fight was a bore fest. Heavyweights age better, so a couple of years would’ve made little difference.
In my opinion, AJ has the better resume, but probably loses to Fury.

 

Wilder and Joshua has nothing in common and you will understand this by the hard way. I just hope Fury doesn`t get scared and really want this fight.
