That's the result of Canelo beating his face for 12 rounds, not too mention the beating his body took. Old man G had to take 9 months off to recover, while Canelo was right back at just three months later.
Another excuse. Canelo was on random testing for a year prior to fighting GGG in the rematch. Guess you forgot about that little detail.
I think the fights will become increasingly one-sided as GGG ages. It's going to be a less competitive version of what we've already seen. Different story in 2015. Really, that fight should have happened in 2015 instead of Mayweather/Pacquio, which should have happened in 2010.
No one, not a single person in the right mind would criticize GGG for not fighting the mandatory over Charlo, Andrade, Saunders, Derevyanchenko rematch, Jacobs rematch, hell, even a Rosado rematch would be more interesting at this point FFS. When you become a name, fighting mandatories over quality elite opponents is just a way to get an easy paycheck.
I still think GGG has plenty left in the tank. Can't find any reason whatsoever to get myself excited about this
The one where GGG comments on the grass being green and you insist its blue. So in other words, real life.
Oh. the same one where he says he'll fight anyone between 154-168, but shamelessly backtracks if the opponent is a threat? Got it.
I am looking forward to seeing him fight. I regret not appreciating GGG more in his prime. I feel he would probably be fighting better opposition if he had rightfully got the decision in the first Canelo fight.
