Is the world against him here?

He drew against Povetkin, most people thought he won. He offered to face Fury for free and would have definitely give Fury a better fight than any of the others, but Fury preferred poorer opposition in Kabayel or Takam.

No he's fighting a nobody in december...

    Wtf?

This is the kind of guy belt holders should be forced to defend against instead of making us watch Joshua fight a meaningless fight against a 42 year old Pulev

    Hrgovic is his huckleberry.

    But Hunter doesn't want it.
"Most" people did not think he won, only a few of his fans.

I thought Povetkin deserved to win.

U.S ppl, combat sport fans are nationalistic.
I think he lost this one. Get a draw.

No. He is interesting. CW: I think Tabiti should get some fights, he was interesting for me and nice close matchup fight vs Dorticos was good stuff. Okey, he lost this one. Doesn't means so much, might fight again vs someone.

As someone else stated its due to risk reward.

I believe Hunter was deemed the harder challenge between him and Ruiz to replace Miller plus Ruiz would attract Mexican fan base.

Povetkin was chosen as Whyte opponent as I think Whyte's managment deemed him to be easier fight of him and Hunter.

When Povetkin first pulled out, Hearn offered the fight to Ruiz again and ingored Hunter stating he would do the fight for free.

Fury management rather he fought somone of Takam and Kabayel standard instead of Hunter (untill Fury decided aginst fighting in December).

When you cant fill out a telephone booth in terms of ticket sales, and pose a difficult job to beat. Dont expect to get a lot of fights against the top guys.

When you get your chances you need to take them.

This forum version of Hunter would only be rivaled by the forums version of Tua in a magical h2h..

He is a blown up cruiser who was knocked down by Povetkin and not counted..

This was ths same Povetkin who was outboxed the the master boxer Whyte lol..

Really he need to lose the blubber and get back the where he belongs, Cruiser.

No one want to fight him because he brings absolutly nothing to the table. No name, no ranking, no money... He also has no personality so he doesn't generate any intrest at all..

Plus he offers no eye candy in the ring at all so punters are not going to watch him..

It's all been said in less than a page. I'll summarize, well the parts I agree with.
    1) The risk-reward ratio is not exactly good. He might take away some up and comers "O" and could upset a top HW - or give them a hard fight.
    2) Hunter appears like a good guy but is low on the charisma scale. He won't generate many "buys". His opponent will have to carry the fight build up.

He should be getting more opportunities, but 1 & 2 above are the deadly combo Hunter is facing.
Anyway too many of these HWs have become - when all is said and done, more will be said than done :argue:
