Where was that confidence when he turned around and ran in the third?

i agree with a lot of this.
He seems a bit confused in how he boxes, and that's been going on for 3 or 4 years now. Ever since the Wlad fight. Maybe started with the Whyte fight.
This time out he seemed to pause and pose a bit, even has a new habit of slapping his gloves together like he's acting as Apollo Creed or something.

Mentally he seems to show signs of feeling the pressure even more nowadays than he did when he was unbeaten and consider by some 'unbeatable'.

Minor stuff perhaps, but there's something there that lends itself to predicting another imminent collapse.

He performed well but he's still being haunted by the ghost of a morbidly obese Oliver Hardy lookalike and subsequently whenever he detects the merest whiff of danger he immediately has flashbacks to that painful and humiliating defeat in June 2019 that was meant to be his coming out party on America soil but quickly turned into his worst nightmare.

Thats nice skill on display there ^ He's almost like Foreman the way he steps off to the side to look for more openings. It was good footwork to land all 4 of those uppercuts

Again , good footwrok and cooradation to throw those combinations, He somthered and trapped Pulev from every angle. Pulev had to turn his completely back to escape.

Hahaha that was genuinely quite good and funny at the same time. Good video editing skills miniq. RoadmanFemi will get a good laugh out of it. I can’t even get mad at anything that has Hans Zimmer ‘Time’ on it even if it’s calling AJ a body builder.

miniq will be like the guy who was HUGE and i mean HUGE Dillian Whyte fan, and the moment Povetkin put him to sleep, he disappear.
I don`t get this, you should stick with your fighter all the time, not just when they are winning. You should defend them when they lost and show them your support, but today fans are just terrible.
Its one thing to criticize and its another to hating, and like 80% of the fans here are just straight up hating.

Only people who knows nothing about boxing, and don`t look at the details and really see the fight from tactical/strategy point of view, can say that Joshua looked bad/scared/nervous or whatever the s**** they are talking in the Pulev fight.

Joshua was super sharp, he definitely learn his lesson, and with time will learn to be even more patient i think he pushed a bit too hard in the 3rd, but Pulev threw nothing back, so this maybe the reason.

Either way Joshua clearly improve from 1st fight with Ruiz and clearly is working harder on this improvement. Speed and Power is top notch, but now his movement has been improved drastically. He is pivoting a lot more now, and he is creating great angles, his jabs is on another level compare to few years ago, as well as his feints and technique to outplay the opponent.
His body/head movement also improved. Pulev have 1 of the best jabs(probably not anymore due to age and he regressed a lot), but still he has strong, fast jab, yet he couldn`t land his jab against Joshua. Yeah he did it, but probably less than 10% of the time he throw it.

Joshua improve his game by a lot, and everyone who is not seeing this obviously is just a hater or pretty much know nothing about boxing skill.

I wouldn't be surprised if Wlad comes over and spars AJ in preparation for Fury

For me, AJs chin and has tank are his biggest weakness, he takes the middle rounds of to recover after throwing a few combinations and that is not going to work against an elite opponent like Fury

He didn`t create enough openings and was just waiting for an opening, he didn`t score enough shots and looked fairly basic, his defense was a little open and he`s far too nervous of being countered.

His work-rate is too low to beat Fury.

@miniq When Fury loses will you stay or bail? I hope you stay and take your punishment like a man. I had to endure the AJ hate on reddit for months after he got beat by Ruiz.
