Tyson was more athletic and more explosive than Frazier with better defense. Tyson had an arsenal of combinations and power in both hands.

Frazier is a great fighter with a huge heart but he doesn't have the tools to beat Vitali. He wouldn't do as well in later eras due to his size

Yes I’m sure Vitali would be very physically imposed by Frazier, I’d also pick vitali to beat all the fighters you just listed.

Barring some fluke Injury occurring to Vitali such as a torn rotator cuff, I seriously doubt Joe Frazier beats Vitali Klitschko

Imagine if Frazier had a loss due to injury and everyone brought it up. The nostalgic guys would call us morons, but since the it happened to Vitali he should lose every fantasy match up

    Fair enough.
Let's not talk about his two losses.
Who did Vitali ever beat then ?

Vitali was throwing lefts and rights all the way up to the end of the 9th round against Byrd, then just quit. His cornermen wanted him to go on, but he wanted to quit, against a smaller guy who wasn't a big puncher. Quit, despite his trainer say carry on. Like the opposite of Frazier in Manila.
But, yeah, let's not mention it.
    "Imagine if Frazier ..... " "... fluke injury" .....
...... yeah, okay, why don't we just imagine Frazier was a quitter too.
Let's just imagine stuff like that to make Vitali seem better, because it's an inconvenient fact that Byrd was the second best fighter he faced, behind a sloppy almost-shot version of Lewis.

Best thing about that fight was Chris Byrd talking facts after the fight :

    210 pound blown-up super-middleweight walking down a 6'8, 235 pound heavyweight. What the hell is that ?

I think a prime Joe Frazier wins, and he wins by attrition, body shots to the taller lankier Vitali Klitchko. The Smoking Joe of prior to The Fight Of The Century in 1971, that Frazier had fought taller fighters, remember Manuel Ramos? Joe dispatched the taller Ramos on June 24 1968, TKO 2. Vitali is too robotic, and Frazier comes in bobbing and weaving, using immense pressure, firing left hooks to the body and head. In the Dec 10 1968 rematch with Oscar Bonavena, he wore down Ringo with a savage body attack enroute to a victory on points, Joe did not go down in this one. Frazier's loss to Foreman took place on January 22 1973 after his victory over Muhammad Ali in 1971. Joe like a runaway locomotive takes this one on points as Vitali does possess an iron chin.

No one really stands out honestly, his record has a lot of decent names but no great ones, not really his fault

No one as good as Frazier beat. Especially His win over Muhammad Ali. And I think most people picking Vitali including myself know this. But this is one of those match ups where styles combined with physical attributes favors the man with the lesser resume. I know it sounds backwards and perhaps even a little ridiculous but such matches do exist.

True. And it seems like half the time when Vitali comes up in a match his detractors automatically pick him to lose by “ cut stoppage,” as if it were a daily occurrence in the life of Vitali Klitschko.

He was clearly winning the fight and got injured, You make it seem like Byrd was pummeling Vitali

It was such a fluke one off injury that Vitali immiadiately took the remacth and proved it was a fluke by blowing Byrd away , remember.
Oh oh , Vitali actually avoided rematching a pillow puff non-heavy he lost to on a weeks notice.
So that maybe tells you there was more to his loss than some petty Wilder-esque excuse of a "fluke injury".

If he injured himself is because he was swatting and missing like a big stiff baffoon. Frazier would make him miss just as badly as Chris Byrd.
Even Ali found to hard to hit prime Fraizer with clean shots.. Vitali's accuracy againt guys with skill was abysmal.. 700 punches he missed against Kevin Johnson
Bu bu he knocks out Frazier doh- :risas3:
