I would approve. These belts are worthless these days. It is the man who makes the belt, and dropping them and fighting for the lineal and Ring titles would be a fine illustration.

    Wouldn’t be a problem, belts don’t matter - let’s see the fight.

It would be lame but I get it. I'd prefer just for Joshua to vacate the WBO to this. Ideally of course I would want the winner to be undisputed, but the winner would be in reality undisputed regardless, like with Wlad.

    Hopefully common sense occurs.

If they did drop all the belts, those who won them wouldn't really be considered the real champs...

E-Hearn has been begging Usyk to step aside so that all the belts and the title of undisputed are on the line for Fury vs AJ and now he's saying AJ might vacate them all?

I immediately checked the rankings upon hearing this news because my intuition was telling me that Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter must have been moved up a few notches too close for comfort by one of the sanctioning organizations and lo and behold I was right. Hunter was ranked #4 by the IBF prior to last Saturday and Pulev was #1 so that means Hunter will likely move up to #3 now.

Usyk is at #2 but he's going down the WBO route.

And Prince Charlie Martin is, bizarrely I might add, ranked #2 and might be elevated to the #1 slot. But even if that does happen E-Hearn knows that they're never going to be able to sell that fight in a billion years given how AJ already crushed him in 2 rounds so that will leave Hunter who Serge already correctly predicted they'd duck as the most viable option and both he and AJ are obviously feeling super nervous at the prospect of that. Hence the talk of dropping all the belts..

Did you just refer to your handle in third person? That’s big wang energy right there.

Would be great for the sport if they did. Would suck for AJ though, he spent a lot of time and work unifying 3 belts

I still dont know when we started recognizing the WBO in the unification/undisputed conversation....
was it all because that was klischkos belt so they had to give it legitimacy?

when I was growing up the WBO didnt count for sh!t. it was no different than the NABF belt.

 I hate it when people refer to themselves in the third person. But I believe I've more than earned the right to do that now and that I attained that status long ago.

The ring belt is the only one that really matters in my opinion.

    Eddie Hearn is a con-man.
He's drop that line in to get the headlines and make a statement about how much he "wants" the Fury fight, and he's pre-empting anything Fury might say about the belts don't matter , he's also taking a dig at the guys who take sanctioning fees ... but in the same breath he says how important the belts are to Joshua, including the WBO belt.

Talking out of both sides of his mouth.
    And out of his ass.

I'd love it if the silly alphabet belts were discarded and ignored, but I'm almost sure AJ and Hearn aren't the guys to be doing it.
