There were earnest talks about that fight before the pandemic broke out, the likelihood that Wilder would exercise his rematch option was seen as a more complicating factor than the Pulev mandatory as I remember, and there seems to be quite serious talks right now, so I don't really see the fuss.

And AJ unified in 2017 and 2018 and accepted a deal for unification with Wilder in 2019 which Wilder turned down. So not much to say about his willingness to unify that far. And this year they both have had other commitments and the pandemic struck, so I think a benefit of a doubt is merited since negotiations is ongoing. Yes, things might yet turn sour, but as of right now there seem to a genuine willingness on both parts.

My guess is that the most likely obstacle will either be that Fury wants a tune-up (which is perfectly reasonable, though) or that Wilder manages to mess things up,

I'm also quite sure that Joshua will be slated for luring a rusty Fury into the ring if this fight happens next, without a tune-up for Fury.

This going to be like Mayweather and Pacquiao all over again, they need to fight now whilst they are both in their primes.

You wouldn't believe Hearn works for Usyk, it's so disgusting, he literally has zero shame.

Now he is asking himself why he pays the Governing Bodies money, what's the point, saying the belts will become irrelevant and YouTubers will kill boxing.

Having a pop because apparently Usyks team asked how much they were willing to pay to step aside and say it makes you not want to talk to them.

I really hope the WBO have some nuts and force this mandatory, Hearn is becoming way too arrogant and believes he is powerful enough to bully a mandatory challenger, a governing body and Team Fury.

I'm Team Usyk all the way Baby.

Yeah, I can't see why Usyk would step aside unless he gets a whole lot of step aside money and a contract to face the winner. And he is very unlikely to get both. So better for him to force the mandatory, hopefully win the belt and seek a big payday for unification with AJ/Fury.

I posted two post-fight videos of Joshua calling out Fury.
He seemed far more enthusiastic and emphatic in 2017, than he does in 2020, where he had to be coaxed into say "if it's Fury, let it be Fury".
Make of it what you will.

I'd actually support Eddie Hearn going to war with the governing bodies, if I thought that was his genuine intention.
    But I doubt it is.
He's probably just complaining about the size of sanctioning fees, and step aside money, in these "hard times", and trying to muddy the waters in other ways too.
But I'd give him the benefit of the doubt to some degree. He might be taking a genuine stand.

Most likely, and the sensible thing to do, is for Joshua to vacate the WBO belt and fight Fury.
That's fair to Usyk and the WBO and everyone else.
It's just the blatantly obvious thing to do.

You are one of the most rabid fanboys in all of internet history and that includes Bieber fangirls etc.

You are just void of all reason. It's as if your body just metabolises all forms of communication as Anthony Joshua fanboyism.

    It's quite funny.

He sounded far more enthuastic in 2016, 2018 and earlier this year as well. Just pointed out that you missed those occassions.

I couldn't agree more. Warren did the same with Joyce after he beat Dubois. Not a good look.

Why because I have an opinion you disagree with?

You know miniq is on this forum right? The man who regularly pretends to be Tyson Fury.
