Tyson and his father are complete hypocrites. They bang about persecution, how they're never given any credit, how they don't want the limelight, the awards, the TV shows or the money YET everything to do is the polar opposite of what comes out of their mouth.

They whinged incessantly that AJ was getting all the limelight and none of it was being given to Tyson but they don't really want the limelight anyway because they're real fighting men!

    Tyson in the last year or so;
    • has been a special guest wrestler on WWE
    • Written books
    • Made fitness DVDs
    • Gone on podcasts over here and in the States
    • Advertises his own merchandise on his twitter, and Facebook too from what I'm reading
    • Is a regular on GMB with Piers Morgan and now he's going on the Jonathan Ross show.
I'm sure there is plenty more I missed out.

Let's be honest here. AJ does talk complete codswallop when a microphone is put in front of him. All that philosophical bull he comes out with but Tyson Fury is the biggest hypocrite going. Bar none.

As soon as AJ started getting popular, personality suddenly becomes the most important thing in judging a fighter. Funny how that works.

Odd, the 2 british heavyweight world champions and you want them both to lose so they don't fight?

Everybody in the public eye has to be a bit fake.
Hey, the majority of people who go to work have to be a bit fake.

I think Fury's just a more natural talker than Joshua so he doesn't have to rehearse and end up sounding so rehearsed.

I think Fury and Joshua are both quite decent and genuine people. I'm in the minority though. Most people seem to have a problem with one or the other, or both.

People hate Fury but he's given some of the most astute interviews on boxing especially.
Some of the stuff he was saying before the Wilder fights was fascinating and it was proven to be correct. Fury contradicts himself a bit but it's not malicious stuff. And he does have charisma.
I'm not sure why people hate him now. Before he was hated for saying controversial or offensive stuff. Now he's hated for doing what every other famous boxer has done : chat show circuits and advertisements.
Imagine if the internet was around in the days of Henry Cooper and Frank Bruno, they'd be so hated.

Joshua gained my utmost respect for the way he handled the Ruiz defeat. He's nowhere near as interesting as Fury, in my opinion, and his constant act as a motivational thinker gets a boring quite quickly, but he's a credit to British boxing and I think he's likely a good man. Most of the time he tries to act with a degree of class, doesn't often resort to being a "thug" (something that his haters seem to want him to do), and he didn't make any excuses in the immediate aftermath of his defeat.

And both these guys proved me wrong several times, winning fights I picked them to probably lose.

neither of them have a completely "squeaky clean" image nowadays, but none of them are demented idiots like the Whytes and Chisoras of this world.
I can't understand the petty hate for them.

Its just jealousy plain and simple
Fury has shown great will to get back in shape after what was an epic bender - amazing really
AJ has improved his boxing and continues to get better - technically and mentally
They both have made a pile of money and people seem to begrudge that
They are both good at what they do and if they do fight it should be entertaining
Bring it on and let the best on the night win

Has there been a bigger hyprocrite ever in boxing than Tyson fury? Some good posts made above, ridiculed AJ for being a sell out with a fake personality - Tyson is even worse these days, can’t stay away from the cameras.

Reported to Big Joan Fury, a fighting man who wants you to visit Moss Lane to collect another eyeball for his collection.

You forgot last year when he went on a UK Tour for an evening with Tyson Fury where he met and gained many fans.

    The man of the people

In truth nobody knows the true Joshua or Fury.
They are in the main media puppets.
I'm sure most of us would occasionally say or do things that are perceived as odd, stupid, arrogant etc when stuck in front of a camera or any other media outlet.

You do realise it’s all part of them building the fight.. there’ll be a narrative they’re keeping to.

I'm not really the type to fanboy athletes, but Fury was someone I used to enjoy keeping up to date on, whether it was watching or reading related media. I'd still say I'm a fan, but what I've seen of him for the last 2 years is not really what made me a fan. It's quite funny how I am no longer interested in listening to interviews and things when so many new fans are, when they were nowhere to be found before, except possibly in the hate camp.

I've never warmed to Joshua, but I can appreciate what he brings to the division, without overrating him like so many do. Joshua has always been a willingly false, corny, smug, hypocritical, cash cow puppet for the powers of domination, as well as himself, but Fury largely opposed that stance for 7 or 8 years. Fury used to contradict himself all the time before, but he was also a massive troll and wind-up merchant. In 2020, he's what some would label a "sell-out".

I'm not too fussed, as both are still around and seemingly moving ever closer to a showdown, which is an intriguing match-up. I have Fury as favourite, but Joshua certainly has a fair chance.

I don’t watch either of their stuff on mainstream telly and I don’t follow them on social media nor watch their interviews. I just listen to podcasts that sometimes have them on or whatever. I have no problem with either fighter crossing over and being brands so to speak cos I don’t even look at it. I’m interested in what happens or could happen in the ring.

I spend way more time listening to boxing interviews than i should, but i can't for the life of me listen to a Fury or Joshua interview.
