Clenelo claimed to be WBC Middleweight champ But refused to defend it except at a CW 155 pounds ROFLMAO. Of course the WBC & NSAC OK'd it for him. The cash cow makes his own rules

I know you're going to be glues to the TV watching Golovkin to see if he looks bad enough for Clenelo to chance a third meeting with him ;)

When Canelo weighed in at middleweight and weighed more than GGG on fight night, he was a middleweight. Don't kid yourself.

Canelo while fighting at jr middleweight would come into the ring fight night heavier than GGG fight night fighting as a middleweight.

Well that's just weight bullying of the highest order then. GGG is not a small middleweight by any means.

Canelo would gain 18 to 20 lbs over night, G would come in at 170, 173 was the highest ever vs Rubio and Martrosyin. As jr middle Canelo would come in at 172 to 174 lbs. That's why GGG wouldn't come down for him.

There is more to moving up in weight than just weight. For example, many on here claim that Kell Brook was heavier than Golovkin at MW, but was he a real MW, was he acclimated to the weight, was his body used to competing at that weight, was he used to getting hit by MWs, was he used to hitting at MW? These are things that require acclimatization. Its what it is. Any hardcore boxing fan knows what getting acclimated to a weigh class is. Its not just about moving up and there, you can now officially compete in that weight. Why do you think Usyk didn't go gunning for AJ, Fury, or Wilder? Why do you think GGG didn't want ward at SMW even though he weighs in well above the SMW limit. Why do you think Mikey Garcia failed so miserably against Spence? Because its always best to test the waters.

The likely reason Canelo fought GGG so defensively in the first fight and more aggressive in the rematch was because that was Canelo's first fight at MW, where most fighters would take an easier opponent to "test the waters", Canelo went straight for GGG, so being the first time there he was weary of the power and the effectiveness of his own power at MW.

In the rematch, once he was a bit more acclimated, felt more comfortable at MW, knew what to expect, he laid it on GGG with more confidence.

There's a reason why not many fighters move up and succeed despite making the weight limits, don't kid yourself.

Spare me the spiel, Canelo weighed in heavier on fight night at 154 than GGG did at 160. All you're saying is that Canelo was used to being a weight bully and couldn't acclimate to fighting men closer to his own weight. Nuff said.

It's a poorly kept secret that Chavez Jr and Canelo abused diuretics for weight cutting (and I'm sure for other reasons). GGG would've had to cheat to make that weight.

It's weight, but it's all water. It's not like he's packing on pure muscle in a day. This weight stuff is overblown. People pick and choose when it's beneficial. If the guy is trimming a lot of weight and you like him = drained, if not = weight bully.
