I’ve opened the poll with a Canelo stoppage victory. I just think he’s got too much for anyone at the weight, he’s a monster. Work rate, chin, speed, power, IQ, he’s got it all. Then you’ve got the judges and clen on your side too, he’s nearly unstoppable.
My opinion too. Canelo has too much. Also, Callum’s last fight wasn’t exactly awe inspiring. Everyone can have a bad night so we shall see. I can see an early to mid rounds stoppage with Canelo body shots doing the damage. Hope I am wrong, and under estimating Callum’s chances. I just keep thinking about that Ryder fight!!!
Will lean towards a Canelo points win with maybe one or two KDs on the way but I think Callum will make a good account of himself and give Canelo a bit of a scare in the first few rounds. The main thing for me is that Canelo's team didn't insist on a rehydration clause. It's clear that they've seen this as a comfortable fight for Canelo and that speaks volumes for me.
Smith TKO/KO late Think he is too big Canelo bodypunching is famed but who has he stopped with the body attack that is worth anything. Liam Smith is Euro level at best. Dont get me started on Fielding. That's about the sum of his bodypunching victims. Sure he will hurt Callum downstairs but I'd expect Callum to grit it out and return his own fire
4.30am ring walk i think. I was surprised how much bigger Smith is tbf. Amazed there is no rehydration clause.
Goes down the same as the Khan fight. Smith stays at range, utilizing his height/reach advantage, using the jab, keeps moving, scores a few early rounds Canelo eventually ups the tempo from round 5 and starts connecting with heavy body shots, Smith eventually tires, takes a knee in round 8. Fight ends.
