Yes while fighting with an injured arm and still winning.... you guys use the Byrd argument to justify him losing literally EVERY fantasy fight... are you going to apply it to why he’d lose to Bobby Crabtree too ?
Vitali is better than Tucker only in his commitment to the sport. He made his limited ability go a long way and i give him huge credit for that as boxing is large part mental. But Vitali was not a better boxer than Tucker and you'd know that if you had a trained eye. Or perhaps your just biased to these guys. I mean there is evidence to prove it. . A shot husk of Tucker took prime Lewis 12 rounds while prime Vitali was dispatched by old slow and past it Lewis in 6 rounds Then there is the glaring obvious visuals of Tucker having more in his arsenal and throwing his punches with much better form and technique than Vitali. Then there is the win over prime Buster , a win thats better than any of Vitali's .. Again , who did Vitali beat that was like Frazier? Third time asking This content is protected
Not contradicting myself at all. Vitali went after his opponents and perused wins. Not clinched and side stepped guys. He quit in one fight with a bad injury but that’s not the same thing as playing it safe every time out. Lennox Lewis was a 6’5” 250 lbs boxer-puncher.... not a 6’0” 205 lbs swarmer. And it’s a good thing that cut opened up because Lewis was taking a beating in there. Yes he was old and on the end of his career but he still had the tools to compete with Klitschko which Fraizer didn’t. How did Vitali duck Rahman when he was retired during the four year period that Rahman had any claim to the wbc title ?
Byrd was elusive and Chisora was doing his best Joe Frazier imitation. I am sorry but we have to go what we have here
Frazier And here is my third time answering. Frazier never best anyone like Vitali either. Mentioning Joe Bugner is no rebuttal ... you obviously didn’t see the Tucker fight with Lewis or you wouldn’t have mentioned it.... Tucker didn’t win a single round in that fight and rarely took any chances... this was also against a raw pre-steward Lewis. Vitali lost to An aged Lewis fair and square that’s true. But what does a 6’5” 250 lbs boxer- puncher have in common with a 6’0” 205 lbs Swarmer ? The REASON why Lewis was able to open that cut was because he had the height, reach and style to do so along with some pretty damn devastating power.. and he had to take a good beating for four or five rounds before he was able to force the stoppage
When he got struck by Sanders early he went on the retreat , never taking a forward step again for the remainder of the fight. For 12 rounds he stood outside of Kevin Johnson wheelhouse. You don't remember anything about Vitali Here's your greatest and bestest Vitali in all his glory This content is protected
Tucker made Lewis look bad on a few occasions. Even Eddie Futch noted it , so you are wrong. Frazier beat Buger who was a 1-2 backfoot fighter , same as Vitali. Explain how Vitali was any different than Bugner? Vitali was also the same as Jorge Louis Gonzalez from the 90's.. Pretty much the exact same style which was the stiff upright Euro style. There was a Vitali in every era and every division At light heavy he was Jurgen Brahmer or DariuzM At 168 he was a lesser version of Carl Froch A middle he was Felix Sturm At welter he was Victor Postal He was nowhere near as good as a Mikkel Kessler or Sergey Kovalev
Here are three reasons why the Byrd fight is a bad template to use for this matchup. 1. Vitali was fighting inured Since the third round and it was an old injury that he sustained in another career. Some say that Byrd may have caused that re-injury by making him miss but I don’t think anyone really knows how it happened. Rotator cuff injuries can occur at any time for any reason especially if they’ve already been torn once. 2. Chris Byrd fought nothing like Joe Frazier. He was a boxer not a swarmed and didn’t rely on backing men up. 2. Chris Byrd was actually losing for most of nine rounds before Vitali retired in his corner. Not sure Frazier could take a pounding for nine rounds from Vitali Derick Chisora lost to a 40 year old Vitali on the comeback trail. Not sure why you keep mentioning this one
Come on dude. He beat sanders half to death in that fight. He got buzzed by a big shot and you make it sound like he got KTFO...
Explain to me how Bugner was the same as Vitali ? Because joe Frazier beat him ?? I love how you try to justify your pics by making comparisons to fighters who had nothing in common with the ones in question. BTW chris Byrd has nothing in common with Ken Norton as you tried to claim in another argument. And Vitali is LEAGUES better than Jorge Gonzalez. I can’t believe the arguments you put forth... I saw Tucker vs Lewis live. Nothing there looked like Lewis was in trouble
Thats nothiing got to do with what i said. . He was put on the backfoot in that fight after two rounds..That was his preferred range and style , exactly like Joe Bugner !! Its irrefutable. . Denying it isn't an argument
They were the exact same you fool. You hate the clear comparison because it destroys your biased viewpoint
