Would he really? 39 year old Vitali threw 727 punches vs Briggs. A year earlier Vitali threw 1013 punches vs Johnson. Vitali threw 802 vs Arreola with two rounds still to spare after the KO. I'll make a statement: it's Frazier that won't be able to keep up with Vitali, not the other way around.
People considering your arguments as being crass is not getting personal. Your case is weak and not made any stronger by you repeating the same point over and over again, rather than addressing evidence that doesn't fit your opinion. Let's not forget that, in another thread a while back, you picked Joshua over Foreman - by way of TKO no less - and categorically stated that "Joshua definitely beats Zaire Ali." You couldn't support those arguments with any kind of sensible case either and accused anyone, who thought differently, of 'bias'. Face it - you often have threadbare reasoning to support your opinions.
He always does that. He takes a shitty opponents and makes them out to be an exact clone of the man who you say would beat the fighter he’s defending
You made a direct reference to Chris Byrd while we debated Norton vs Vitali. Go back and look ( if you haven’t edited it. ). And given that YOU were the one who said he’d leave the forum if Wlad beat Povetkin then didn’t, I don’t think you’re in a position to call anyone a liar
THIS ALL DAY. To be fair I love Frazier. He was everything I value in the sport. He was tough, a good mix of offense and defense with a left hook from hell. He helped his fellow boxers, like Ali, outside the ring and never fully got the respect he earned. Frazier was stopped once and lost twice to Ali who is not a heavy banger. Yes your corner stopping you from continuing is being stopped. Every big banger he faced knocked him down. Knocked down twice by Bonavena and of course Foreman knocked him down eight times. Hell even Mike Bruce knocked him down. Frazier starts slow. Edge to Vitali. Frazier has one good eye and a permanent injured right hand he couldn’t even tie his shoes with. Vitali had power in both hands. Edge to Vitali. Lennox Lewis hit Vitali with power shots and an uppercut that was a United Nations war crime and didn’t even knock him down. Frazier has been dropped by less. Chin edge to Vitali. Frazier can get inside against Vitali, which he did against Foreman and Foreman pushed him off balance and also used his coming in against him. See below: This content is protected Vitali would do the same pushing him off balance and throwing shots while he regained his footing. Ali tried this but didn’t have the size. The poll currently stands 32 for Vitali 16 for Frazier. It seems the one third minority is simply more vocal.
Fair point. I agree Magoo is an excellent poster but bringing up the Ellis fight, which Frazier dominated, and decapitated Ellis within 4 rounds (my father thought Ellis had died after being hit with that hook!), AGAINST Frazier, while ignoring any valid criticisms of Vitali is certainly not even-handed.
Go fetch that post or stfu , worm. . If i changed the post it will be marked as edited with the date and time.
Agreed, and I'll give Vitali credit where credit's due, he's very durable so this won't be some walk in the park for Frazier but I see Vitali getting broken down late after having some early success against the slow-starting Frazier.
So Bugner and Tucker are crappy opponents are they? You diminish them just to prop Vitali up. If Vitali had a better record or a better skill set you wouldn't need to resort to such petty arguments.
Exactly. He's a fanboy masking himself as an impartial poster. Just earlier in the thread he said he "didn't like Vitali that much" yet a few months ago At least BCS8, will admit he's a huge fan of the Klitschkos. I don't understand why Toney can't.
