This. The number of amazing middleweight fighters in the past is too numerous to say no middleweight in the past could beat him.

I think a lot of past middleweights would be extremely tuff style matchups for GGG such as guys like Mickey Walker, SRR, Monzon, Gorilla Jones, Holman Williams, Spider Webb, Bobo Olson, SRL, Henry Hank, Hagler, Chris Eubank, Roy Jones, Hopkins, etc...

Yes, probably SRR would duck little gigi, because SRR is a bum who never fought real figthers like... like... what's the name of that guy who little gigi fought yesterday?

whatever, stupid asertion. And what's worse is that the OP does not even realize how stupid this post is.

i think hopkins, jones jr, mccallum, hagler, monzon, and a lot of other great mw fighters would be dominant in today mw division. also golovkin resume is really paper thin so its difficult to make h2h comparisons .

Prime Jones, Toney, and Hopkins whoop both Canelo and Golovkin.

These guys had incredible ring IQ, and or supernatural talent.

Just different levels in my opinion.

They are all time great fighters who did incredible things.

GGG has fought bums, and the three times he stepped up he arguably lost.

I wouldn't call Canelo a bum, especially the roided version.

I was under the same impression until I replay Canelo vs GGG II fight, no way Canelo won the fight the pressure from GGG was unbearable basically chasing and punching Canelo all night long.

Canelo stood right in front of GGG and put on a superb display of counter punching, and great combinations, while taking everything GGG threw at him. Canelo beat ggg Mexican style fair and square. You might be referring to the first fight man, canelo mainly walked GGG down in the 2nd fight.

Just the early to mid 90s alone.

    https://boxrec.com/media/index.php/The_Ring_Magazine's_Annual_Ratings:_Middleweight--1990s

The talent level was crazy. Michael Nunn, Sumbu Kalambay, Mike McCallum, James Toney, Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, etc....Not that many fights materialized between that talent, promotional issues, timing, politics, etc...Some of them like Roy and B-Hop were relatively inexperienced for awhile, but it’s still crazy looking back at the talent at that division.

Is there a non roided version? He did say he was eating the “tainted beef” his entire life.
