GGG Returns This Friday...

Yes, zero interim title defenses. Not just super title defenses that count.

 

The WBA Interim and WBA Regular when there's a Super champion already in the division aren't world belts.

GGG didn't hold a legit version of the WBA title until 2013 with his defense against Gabe Rosado. Felix Sturm was the long reigning MW world champion since 2007 and didn't lose it until fighting Daniel Geale in 2012. Daniel Geale then was the unified WBA and IBF champion but then got stripped at the end of 2012 for not wanting to fight GGG.

I don't know where this most MW title defenses comes from. Koki Kameda's WBA regular bantamweight title reign as well as Alexander Povetkins regular WBA title HW title reign are as much of a hoax as GGG's pre Rosado.

Name me one tough fight Canelo had since Floyd that his opponent was given a level playing field in. He got his ass kicked TWICE !! by GGG but corruption rules the day in Vegas

So while Canelo is holding holding the WBC middleweight / Franchise Championship hostage Charlo's title defenses don't count? Even when he could be upgraded to Super champ Later? He's still defending the belt against top 15 contenders, sometimes fighting fighters the super champ is afraid to fight? That's rediculious, the titlelists deserves credit for their defenses. The WBA created the super title on behalf of Sturms promoter Universum so Sturm wouldn't have to fight GGG. Then GGG destroyed Sturms conqueror. GGG was the real champ from the beginning while the other champ ran off and hid.

You're all just trying to steal GGG'S thunder. Think about this, Canelo will never defend any of his belts 20 times. He has 19 more to go at middleweight and 20 to go at super middleweight. Canelo's got some work to do. Oh yeah, and let's see if he can KO 18 out of those 20. Canelo made his weight hopping choice. GGGS got something Canelo will never have.

 

One more thing Hopkins only has 19 title defenses, unless a no contest counts as a defense. His first fight against Robert Allen was a no contest.
