Joe Gallagher's game plan was to go for uppercuts and bodyshots.....against a smaller fighter with amazing defence?

Why not the jab and right hand? He gave up every asset he has.

Gallagher is an awful boxing coach. Why do the Smith brothers feel loyalty to him?

You don't understand how a fight against an older Kova (whose also a considerably bigger name than Beterbiev) makes more sense and is more understandable for a midget that doesnt belong at 168 let alone 175?

Canelos handicap is that hes new to the weightclass, so hasnt adjusted yet, and is the far smaller fighter. Kovas handicap is that hes older and he didnt get the rest he felt he needed between camps.

Canelo was making an intriguing fight with a name fighter in which both were handicapped in different ways, at a weight he was never going to campaign at.

Calling for him to fight the inactive and almost unknown Beterbiev just because he fought Kova doesnt make sense. Canelos not campaigning at 175. Why would he fight someone he has almost no shot at beating, against someone casuals have no idea who they even are, at a weightclass he doesnt belong, in a fight where Beterbiev holds insurmountable physical advantages?

    Makes no sense.

Alvarez is like a lower case Andy Ruiz Jr. His Handspeed is underrated and he parried so many punches. Truth be told that was the deciding factor however unlike Joshua Smith stood on his fight like a proper fighting man. All respect to you former champ Callum Smith.

They kept saying Smith was getting badly hurt but I didn't see that at all. Still a total schooling 118-110 job.

Smith came with no game plan and has only himself to blame

Smith has some chin and conditioning...which tends to support the theory he makes 168 well enough

Yes, he did lose to GGG.

By your logic, Floyd maybe only won a draw since it was an MD.

Eh. This is true. But their fight wasn’t close. Transport that Floyd to today to fight Canelo and Floyd still wins. Just closer.

2 of the scorecards matched mine. 119-109 was absolutely correct for me.
