Smith did about as well as could be expected given the late notice, not being able to arrange any decent sparring, and for someone whose only form at world level is a win over a way past prime one armed George Groves who had no business being in a ring with that gammy shoulder of his, and a terrible robbery against Ryder. He couldn't even do the one thing he does very well ie. ripping to the body on the inside because it would've played right into Clenelo's strengths and he's not a good enough boxer to keep it at range. But Chicken Coop Clen obviously knew that in advance. The commentary was very biased as you would expect but Clenelo won well enough.

I don't want to hear anymore talk about Clenelo fighting outside his weight class anymore because he's a strong fully-fledged 168 pounder and very thick-set and tank-like and obviously all those roids he jacked himself with has increased his power. Love to see a real Mexican macho man in Benavidez beat him like a red-headed stepchild, Bivol box his ears of or Beterbiev pound him into a quivering heap. Funny how he didn't want to unify at 175 after beating the ''best LHW in the world''

It's okay, we won't miss you. Stay gone, and take your fruity boyfriend Kush with you.

Its stupid to ask Canelo to fight Beterbiev. It's like asking Beterbiev to fight Anthony Joshua

I am not sure what more you can expect from Smith. He was completely and utterly outclassed.

Canelo saw everything coming and Smith couldn’t land anything on him.

He had to take a lot of stick and a lesser man would have looked for a way out.
So he deserves to feel proud of doing the full 12.

Saunders would be a good fight. He would definitely put up a good fight but for some reason I think they would cancel each other out and it would be a stinker.

Oh, I agree! Also partly why i want that fight next, as I believe GGG still have enough in the tank to pull it off.

Unlike Gypsy fighters proper men take fights when they can and make the money and give fans the moneys worth. Respect to TRUE fighting man in Callum Smith.

First time in a while during the post-fight interview that Canelo didn't poo-poo another fight with GGG.

Canelo has improved, and this was probably his best performance.

Last night, we say that GGG has lost a step or two.

So Canelo would probably get a real (legit) win over Golovkin at this point
