Athletics does play a big role in boxing but skills is what decide ones career.

 

Skills and intelligence are the ultimate equaliser I agree. However you try to fight someone on PCP and you tell me it's a fair fight when you come back to me. Brother you are on the wrong side of the tracks on this arguement.

The Beterbiev fight is just a dream. I don't dislike Canelo, I just want Beterbiev to get a good pay day to make up for all the lost years and for the boxing world to finally recognise him and give him his props before Father Time catches up with him.

 

Beterbiev vs Bivol is a better fight on the eyes in all fairness. A true intelligent boxer vs a powerful bull of a man. Looking forward to that one.

Look, I'm not dismissing what you're saying but what I am saying is that PEDs won't suddenly close the gap like you think.

Let's make the assumption that ALL fighters are on PEDs (in 2020 this is not impossible given the limitations due to COVID19 of WADA, USADA and other testing agencies), how do you explain the more skilled fighters winning 90% of the time?

Brother, take a knee because you are on the ropes here. Imagine defending the use of PED's in a sport where gladiators can lose their lives...I'm begging you to reconsider and regain sanity. PED's turn good fighters into great fighters, it's as simple as that.

 

They've already sparred and Bivol felt the strength and power. I think that's why Bivol was more keen to move down to 168lbs to face Canelo than to unify against Beterbiev. At least the payday would have been great. Against Beterbiev it's a beating for small money.

An actual bum won´t get to world level even with PED´s.

Now someone with an athletic abiltiy who gets a boost from PED´s is another story.

Overall, PED´s don´t give you skills. You are arguing two different things.

 

Bivol would be smart to go to 168 for the money but if he cares about the fans(he shouldn't) he would fight Beterbiev. Respect to Bivol for fighting a proper fighter in Joe Smith Jr though, he is a great fighter to watch.
