Is Spence vs Crawford even that big of a fight financially?

In America, it's a bigger fight than Fury-Joshua.

One thing's for certain, they'd make less than Logan and Jake Paul.

Who is more popular to them right now that is active that the causal fan know? Pacquiao not withstanding.

Yeah I don't see it doing over 500K PPV buys. But I think that's still a decent number of buys, people's expectations are skewed by Mayweather PPV numbers. Hopkins/Tito didn't even do 500K buys and that was seen as a success. As long as the boxers financial demands are not ridiculous it should be financially viable, but promoters will likely want a bigger payday that's the real issue.

Well Spence confirmed his duck of Crawford.

Said he'll only fight him if he gets the lions share.

The worst thing is, Floyds clown fight outsells this one.

No its not. If someone knows who Crawford is then they definitely know who Joshua and Fury are and chances are they'll spend their money on the first undisputed HW championship fight in over 20 years

you need casuals and crossover fans for a ppv to work, the whole idea behind ppv is to get people who generally doesnt watch boxing. neither crawford nor spence are a draw to justify the financial risk of mounting the event except if they make several concessions

I find it impossible to predict what people want to see.

Wasn't Luis Ortiz vs an unstable porcelain vase the second or third highest ratest fight of the last couple years? Maybe put Tila Tequila on the undercard, get Snoop in the broadcast booth, and then everyone will be happy.

Put some YouTubers or celebrity matchups on the undercard. Then hopefully the main event can help retain some as more than casuals.

Canelo has 4x the twitter followers that Spence and Crawford have combined. They're going to need the help to reach the ca$uals.
