Canelo Alvarez or Andre Ward: Who rates higher all-time?

Eubank Jr is not a world class fighter and Saunders is better than Charlo.

 

hopkins' fight style wasn't fan friendly, but damn it was effective, which at the end of the day is all that matters.

No it`s an easier way of fighting, he wa a spoiler, Canelo`s work rate isn`t that good but he lands more shots tthan B-hop did and that takes skill, also evading shots while coming forwards is tougher than when you stand off the way B-hop did.

 

i'm not disagreeing with that, the point i made had nothing to do with what you've just posted though.

 

A bizarre hunch. I rate Canelo highly, to the point I expect him to win all those fights, I'm just pointing at that to date his wins/accolades, as far as i'm concerned are better on paper than in reality.

Edit: And why do you act like there are no questions that can be asked of Canelo's career, stan?

 

I agree. I just think Eubank Jr has a style(and the chin), that would ask questions that Canelo hasn't been asked by anyone else yet.

& I think BJS is better than Charlo too, but they are both great fighters and different styles that if Canelo won, I couldn't question his status.

 

Both are cheats.

 

Had ward fought someone with such a reach disadvantage as canelo had yesterday, ward would have been beaten to a pulp. Ward's IQ is awesome, but his boxing heavily relies in reach and control. And I mean HEAVILY.

Canelo is fighting giants. He's fighting giants and winning. Wtf.

Canelo and its not even close.

 

I think the only argument to be made for Ward is that Canelo has been on peds and that he's an outrageous deck stacker, tainting the quality of his wins. I mean the version of Kovalev that Canelo beat was extremely shopworn. The version that Ward (barely) beat was much better.

 

Going just by name value Canelo blows Ward out of the water.

Canelo and it's not close anymore. Ward deserved to lose to Kovalev the first time. Overall Canelo has just beaten so many more great fighters now over more weight classes.
