    Wow. Just wow.

One fight at 168 and he is now better than Calzaghe.

It's just clicked how much money is behind this guy.

I'd pick Joe to do the business here... 8-4, 9-3 type of decision... Calzaghe was a little bit too good with his feet, he was creative in his attack, too unorthodox, stamina to burn... I actually think this would be a great fight, canelo slipping n countering what he could but Joe's insane workrate carrying him through.. Might touch the deck

The current Canelo would destroy anyone on Calzaghe’s resume, so comparing based on that is silly. A Hypothetical fight with Joe would be interesting, but I don’t see his flurries being able to hurt or budge Canelo, who defintiely could hurt Joe. Joe’s workrate was his gift, but to win, Joe would have to be able stay out of harms way for 12 rds while landing at a high clip, which I do not think he could do. He wasn’t too hard to hit.

Joe too tall, rangy, fights rangy, fast, hits hard enough to hurt Canelo (he knocked down Bhop and Eubank). He shuts Canelo out, 12-0.

You think Canelo would destroy prime Mikkel Kessler and 2008 Bernard Hopkins? I disagree.

Pretty much. Kessler, while a solid world level fighter, was pretty basic, and holds no real advantage on Canelo, nor brings anything to the table that he couldn’t or hasn’t dealt with. Add to the mix that Canelo has the advantage of speed, power and skill? I see a pretty comprehensive win for Canelo. Canelo is elite.

2008 Hopkins was 40+, and relied on guile and timing. Canelo is a hell of a counter puncher, in his own right, and his body attack would cause BHop fits. He couldn’t clinch and spoil as he’d be in harms way. He’d have to be on the run, or get taken to the woodshed. He didn’t have to power to deter Canelo in the least. He’d make it closer than it should be, because that was BHop, but he’d likely expend enormous amounts of energy just keeping Canelo off of him, which isn’t a recipe for success for a 40 yr old. He’d be in survival mode from early on.

A black friend of mine said after the RJJ fight that "that boy was jumping around like a kangaroo". Maybe he thought Calzaghe was Australian, but kangaroos are pretty damn slick IMO.

JC had what is needed to defeat Canelo....SPEED. Fast hands, fast feet. That's the opinion of damn near what everyone said what Smith needed to beat Canelo, and didn't have.

Calzaghe wins on a split decision AS LONG AS THE FIGHT ISN'T IN VEGAS and all the judges have been in quarantine for a year. And couldn't get access to their bank accounts.

Calzaghe slaps the living daylight outta Clen, too fast, too elusive, too conditioned and look how effectively he dismantled Hopkins' boxing post-round 1, that's a very underrated fight with a false narrative.

Forgot about Floyd but Floyd wasn`t a fast combo puncher like Calzaghe.

Calzaghe schools him, too high of a workrate, too good of engine, too of quick hands and footwork. Not even the biased Canelo judges would be able to call in favour of Canelo.
