a few points: in 2011, during the football youth world cup in mexico over a hundred players tested positive on clenbuterol, because it is a very common aditive in mexican meat.

Do you really think canelo, who has a multimillionaire team around him, would dope himself with a ridiculously common drug used to treat asthma and that is not really an anabolic agent?

I'm not an expert, I don't pretend I know everything and this isn't me being a Moby, I will ask a questions because I want to know the answer... If you believe Canelo is still juicing then..

What do you believe he is taking?

What benefits will he get from it?

Because I've never heard of a PED that improves your ring IQ, footwork, shot selection, your chin.. you get what I'm saying.

I have given Canelo enough hammer for the failed test and he will always have to carry that stain and this is what happens when you do fail tests, you always have that cloud over you and I understand that and actually agree.

But I'm genuinely interested as to what people think he is taking and what benefits he gets from it.

    He is taking Clenbuterol.

The drug is both a decongestant and a bronchodilator. A decongestant thins the blood to reduce blood pressure while a bronchodilator widens the vessels that carry oxygen, so the volume of oxygen in the blood increases.

Clenbuterol is known for its ability to increase lean muscle mass and reduce body fat. It also allows more oxygen into the muscles for faster recovery time.

WADA has concluded through research that an athlete can test positive for clenbuterol at low levels after consuming contaminated meat, leading the organization to review international results management rules around clenbuterol positives. However Canelo tested roughly four times higher than the standard low level, which is why he was suspended.

Basically to get that level he would have to have eaten tainted beef for three meals a day for over six days. Not saying it isn’t possible but come on... really?

You recover faster therefore you can train more. More training with quicker recovery times in between gives more retention. More retention and more training allows you to improve your footwork through training, punch selection through training, basically anything you have to train as a boxer you can have more training sessions than normal.

he looks quicker, stronger, more explosive than he did years past. None of that happens as you age or move up in weight.

    Good post very informative.

So it improves certain things, not everything though, but I understand what your saying.

Yeah by no means everything. It didn’t give Canelo his chin or his Ring IQ. These are things he is great at naturally.

I have been trying to create a PED that could give someone Haglers chin. I’d be the worlds first trillionaire. That or a machine that allows you to slap people through the internet. Either way...

Do you really think Canelo, who has a multimillionaire team around him, with butchers training him, would eat Mexican beef which, as you pointed out, has clenbuterol as a very common additive?

Forget the chin.. I'm all in on this "slap through the Internet", sounds amazing.

Actually, I might need the granite chin if you invent the slap thing... lots of people will be slapping me.

he gave plenty of interviews stating he was mad at his team for not verifiyng the meat and that he felt like an idiot for ignoring how common clenbuterol is in mexican meat. its a matter of whether one chooses to believe him or not.

Reminder that Canelita dumped his WBC belt in May 2016 to avoid fighting Golovkin but after he saw his vulnerabilities against Brook and Jacobs he decided to fight Golovkin and still lost. Canelita is what you call a “ brand “ in boxing where surrounding people will do anything to keep the money rolling in like paying off judges, referees, drug testing agencies, belt organizations and opponents themselves. Similar thing with Pacquiao before he met his match with a “ buffed up “ Marquez in their fourth fight and lost his favorability with Arum, even after getting screwed over with the decision in the first Bradley fight.

Boxing is like politics, pure corruption.

2020 Lockdown has been golden pickings for PED cheaters. The anti-doping agencies have been neutralised due to travel restrictions because of COVID19 so they haven't been able to randomly turn up and demand a p*ss test from someone enrolled on their programme.

Has anyone heard a peep from USADA, WADA or UKAD this year?

I bet Jarrell Miller is wishing that COVID19 happened a year earlier so he wouldn't have gotten popped for the pharmacy that was running through his veins

I know it’s usually an even level playing field, but that was not fair, Smith looked completely clean while canelo looks more juiced than ever
