Not to mention if he returns and looks subpar, or doesn't get very far in his campaign at heavyweight because of a confluence of reasons (the rust, fattening up, maybe losing a bit of the hunger along with his sharpness), inevitably people will say "oh, see, he always sucked". But noooooo, they won't understaaaaand. He was red hot with momentum even directly after the wide loss to Usyk (which The Cat's ongoing successes only further vindicate him for, not that it was ever a great shame to begin with), and now he's at square one, and possibly having to play the B-side against whatever established contenders he steps up to next, given what a "what have you done for the fickle mob with its exclusively short-term memory lately" sport this is.

 

I'd gladly provide him with a mug in which to steep his (presumably quite large and fuzzy) tea bag.

Or, a samovar for his zavarka, if you will.
