I feel Hagler`s era at 160 was better than today`s middleweight division in terms of depth and quality, which of the fighters that challenged for Hagler`s crown (including Ray Leonard) would have crack today`s 160 ring mag ratings?

He made 14 title defenses 13 successfully. Out of those 14 opponents all of them would crack the top 10.
Hearns: Potential to beat everyone but I see Golovkin stopping him.
    Leonard: Same with Hearns above
Mugabi: Absolute monster in his prime but i see him getting stopped by GGG in a war. Andrade gets hit too often to win and Charlo isn't really that great

Damn near everyone (03) proven ATG'S in Hearns, Duran and Leonard. Fighters like Sibson, Hamsho -x2 , Mugabi
Roldan, whom were good enough to be ranked in any era.

Scypion would probably make it, as would Fully Obel. Not sold on the bottom half of that list up above.

You don’t even need to beat a good fighter to make the 10. All of them could be in the ten.

All of them would be top 1-2.

The only reason I would differ with the consensus about the quality of fighters from these respective eras is weight.
If it is day before weigh ins, the fighters of today would have the advantage, because they tend to be bigger & heavier in the ring.

I disagree. Durán would beat Canelo handedly. Canelo would be hit so many times he’d think he’s surrounded.

I didn`t think Leonard look that great v Hagler compared to his prime at welter.

I like today’s middleweights but the division really isn’t stacked

Canelo`s defense is better than anybody that Duran fought at 160 or above except Hagler, Leonard was pretty gone in his boring third match-up v Duran.
