I've been saying all day, and boxing experts have been saying, that the only way to beat Canelo is to have hand and foot speed. I don't think anyone under 175 can KO Canelo, so he needs to be confused and potshotted for 12 rounds to win a fight WITH HONEST JUDGES (lol if they can be found).

Caleb Plant has the speed advantage here...does he beat Canelo?

Nah. No power to trouble ginger. He's a decent mover so would make things more awkward for ginger than leaden footed Smith. But offense isn't nearly good enough to win many rounds.

Even if he has the talent and the skills, the experience gap is MASSIVE. Plant would be way out of his depth. You saw it with Smith and Jacobs.
They had no clue what to do in there when plan A didn't work and they were missing shots. Canelo has seen it all and he's still in his prime.

A large part of why GGG and Kovalev did so well was because of EXPERIENCE. Kovalev punch resistance just failed him.

Cotto did REALLY well in hindsight despite his age and size because of EXPERIENCE.

Nope, I'm not overly impressed by Plant he's all flash, very little substance. Canelo is on another level to him.

Canelo beats everyone at 160-168. The only one who has a chance is Jermall Charlo.

Billy joe is the man if anyone that poses the biggest threat to Canelo, even then I think Canelo wins clearly, he looks so in love with boxing, pushing himself to the limit. Oscar ****ed up his rep, I bet the next few fights now turns the tide on peoples opinion of him. I think he’s going to pick fighters that shut people up, his confidence is huge at the moment an considering the physical side ie the chin, toughness, Punch selection an balls on top of experience an ring IQ, he’s going to be extremely hard to beat. You can’t trouble him with power or size

Yeah early on when Smith was still getting something done I thought if only his feet were faster he might have success, but really you'd need miraculous abilities to walk that tightrope for 12 rounds.

Kovalev was handicapped. As was Smith. Let's see Clenelo fight a guy without a rehydration clause, isn't damaged, and can have a proper training camp.

Canelo looks good in 1 fight where he had been training to fight that dat 3+ months and gave a guy 4 weeks wh had a tailor made style for him. Plant with a full camp is a completely diff fight. Props to plant for not bending over and taking it in the ass like kovalov and smith. BJS or ggg, whomever looked worse will be next. Its all about the money.

There was no rehydration clause for the Smith fight and no one put a gun to Smith head to take the fight, if he didn't feel 4 weeks was enough time to train, he should have said no to Alvarez.
