Gypsy King T-Shirt is definitely on my Christmas list.

It would obviously have been ghostwritten, like the vast majority of celebrity autobiographies.

Tyson Fury's colourful social media career sheds a more accurate light on his way with words.

He definitely has a mood disorder, no doubt about that. The dopamine thing is interesting...in many psychiatric disorders, there is a problem with regulating emotion and a lack of dopamine (receptors) in the brain.

He's doing his usual attention seeking by saying he doesn't want to be on the SPOTY list I notice.

Or maybe he just doesn't want to be on it.

He's been on it before and was campaigning for people to vote for him.

The way the book is written sounds exactly the way he talks even if he had a ghost writer too, just Keegan, Debbie Harry and Bruce Springsteen`s autobio`s.

Of course - a ghostwriter wouldn't be very good at their job if they weren't able to convey what's written as coming straight from the 'author'.

I haven't read it. I doubt I ever will. The best sports book I've read is Tyler Hamilton's "The Secret Race". I have never read a book so quickly. Even if you don't like cycling, I'd highly recommend for pure entertainment value and knowledge. £2 on eBay.

I’ve read Fury’s book and it’s clearly not written by TF. He probably said roughly what he wanted written and the ghost author made it coherent.

I actually found his book pretty boring tbh, and I like Fury

I liked the parts about his older fights - was quite an interesting insight. Apart from that nothing I hadn’t heard before on interviews really.

Must admit I find a lot of the double standards in boxing fans a bit hard to fathom.

Sure, Tyson (and Joshua see posts above) can be a bit disingenious in their media persona - but they are entertainers, selling the fight game; the more they entertain, the more the earn. And that's good for the sport IMO.

Contrast to someone like Terence Crawford - who IMO is just a family man that doesn' want to 'play the game' - TC get's so much **** for being dull/ boring personality-wise. But I can also see why he isn't as big a star as he could be.

We can't have it both ways!

Stopped reading at "Furys brand is on par with Joshuas" hahahha. Fury is selling tee shirts on Instagram. The Wallin fight had more tickets given away than tickets bought. Fury is still a steroid cheating con man and a fraud who has convinced a lot of you that he is number one. All based on one victory hahahhha

It's quite an interesting comparison. Joshua isn't naturally extroverted or charismatic, but is a great fighter, has and the looks and style to be a megastar.

Fury on the other hand has the extroversion and charisma, obviously the fighting skill too but has the chequered past and doesn't look the part as a body beautiful.

I think Joshua is basically a Crawford who's had the marketing interest forced upon him. Matchroom and his handlers sniffed him out as a very marketable asset from the early days.
