Carlos Palomino vs Donald Curry, Prime For Prime, 147 lbs, 15 Rounds. Would Carlos wear down Donald with a body attack? Or would Curry outbox Palomino?

Really good matchup. Interesting in that H2H I don't think there's a clear and obvious winner and in terms of who's greater I don't think it's clear either.

Maybe Curry had a little more at his absolute peak but there's not much in it. Curry on an MD.

Curry. Potential to be a boring fight though. Would rather see Curry v Cuevas

Curry would win a close dec. It wouldn't be
easy for him. Palomino was better than he
is given credit for. Curry's upright style
and good foot speed, not great, would be
    an advantage for Palomino.

I think Curry would win. He had fast hands and I think he wins a decision over Carlos.

I think the styles are favorable to Curry here.

Palomino would put a good fight, but he'd be a step behind most the night.

It's close, but I think Curry, in all his 147 pomp, would have the edge here to frustrate Palomino. That said, an upset would not surprise me, either. Both had the ability to bring great punches out of nowhere and I'd even go as far as to suggest that Palomino's work was the more consistently eye-catching of the two.

At their respective primes, gotta go with Curry; Palomino, for all this strength, stamina and body-punching, was just too "there" to be hit.

When he was in his 20s, Carlos Palomino lost decisions to Duran and Benitez in thrillers. When he was in his 20s, Donald Curry was stopped by Lloyd Honeyghan and outboxed by Rene Jacquot.

One knocked out John Stracey for the Title, one had to get off the floor to win a vacant belt against Jun Suk Hwang.

One knocked out Dave "Boy" Green with a brutal KO, one "stopped" Colin Jones on a cut nose.

Hmmm? Let me see ... hmmm.

If you think Curry was in his prime when he faced Jacquot……...well, you just roll with that, that'll be fine I guess.

He was in his 20s. Do you think Palomino was in his prime when he lost to Benitez and Duran? He was older than Curry when Curry lost to Jacquot.

The problem isn't that Donald Curry's "mythical prime" was like ONE fight, the problem is he wasn't as good as Carlos Palomino. (LOL)
