kinda tough to say as most fighters have only fought once this year, if at all. Wilder vs Fury 2 and Lopez vs Loma were probably the most meaningful fights of the year, with Canelo vs Smith close behind. Fury could have made a strong case for himself had he fit another fight in by years end. as it stands I would say you cant really give it to noone.
Bud is better than Canelo but hasn`t done that much this year Lopez beat Loma who is far better than Brook.
they guy who opened a post defending chocolatito as figther of the year gave very good arguments, tbh.
Since we're going off one fight for the most part, I'd say Fury or Teofimo, with Spence not too far behind for a hell of a comeback win against a quality opponent. Canelo and Crawford are p4p but they had light work in 2020. Navarrete also deserves a shout for managing to fight 3 times in this accursed year and for being a bad mother****er in general.
Povetkin. You can't argue that the moment of year was Povetkin's surprise KO. Biggest surprise of the year for me. Loma was just overhyped IMO.
I think it has to be Fury or Lopez. Spence an honorable mention. Lopez technically beat the better guy, but Loma underperformed and is fighting far above his natural weight class. Fury shocked everyone by flipping the script and completely changing his style to dominate a top guy. I give it to Fury.
