Who are the Fighters who successfully carried their power as they moved up weight classes?

Guys like Bob Foster, Michael Spinks and Michael Moorer were all time hitters at light-heavyweight but couldn't quite carry their power to heavyweight.

I pick Manny Pacquaio actually. He carried his power all the way up to welterweight. I think Tommy Hearns also deserves a mention but Pacman is my pick here.

Small sample size, but Tito Trinidad was just as devastating a puncher at 154, as he was at 147. In fact, even the Joppy fight, was perhaps his most phenomenal display of power. I tend to throw his fights away post-retirement as he was a totally different fighter who stopped punching for openings and instead waited for openings.

Dude, I agree with the Manny Pac pick. I have really been picking his demise for years and he blew every known fact of boxing out of the water. I have been saying for years that he can't jab, he's always off-balance, he doesn't throw his right correctly and it made no difference. Then he started moving up in weight and I said if all he has is power, then he's going to lose that when he faces a bigger guy. And then he proved me wrong there too. The guy's an anomaly.

Manny didn`t have one punch power at welter and has a poor KO ratio at that weight.

    Duran
    Pac
    Hearns
    Arguello
    Jofre

These guys all carried fight changing power not just through the weights, but all through the years. Langford is probably the best ever example, but I’m sticking to those I know from film.

Maybe not one punch power but he could still bang at welter

Arguello`s power didn`t have much effect at 140 v Pryor.

How would you rate Chavez`s power at 140 out of 10? He hit hard at 140, but his punching wasn`t world class at that weight.

It had plenty of effect against Rooney. Plenty of effect against Billy Costello several years after Pryor, too. And yes, it did effect Pryor many times in their first bout.
