Why do people say Usyk is too small for Joshua and Fury but still favour guys like Ali and Holmes?

And b/c Ali could do it doesn't mean Usyk couldn't as well. Foreman looked anything but prime in that fight. I think, and Foreman has more than hinted, that he was ill during that fight. It's just that fighters in those days didn't make excuses like most do today. Ruiz wouldn't be short for the 70s era. He's probably not 6'2" more like 6'1". He's also very heavy with a top chin/jaw.

You'll make an exception b/c of nostalgia and historical hype repeated over and over and... A few days ago watched Ali vs. Doug Jones. Hadn't watched that one in many years. Jones was about a buck 90, not even a full CW in the 2000s. In R1 Jones caught Ali with a punch and Ali staggered back against the ropes. I don't think Jones was known as a particularly big puncher. 185# Cooper dropped Ali. Frazier was a short, 205# HW when he dropped and beat Ali. What happens to Ali when he gets tagged by 235-270# HWs not 185-190# CWs/ small HWs?! Right, his punch resistance won't look so good.

A prime aged Foreman lost to Jimmy Young and left boxing.

You don't think a Tyson that lost to Douglas couldn't lose to AJ/Wilder? I'd give Tyson a chance to get inside Wilder and beat him, but he better avoid getting hit with Wilder's right, else it's a Wilder KO. AJ would keep the fight long and UD or maybe stop Tyson late.

fan boy God worship and the preconceived assumption that Cassius Clay was the end all be all who would beat any other HW without question despite any physical or stylistic disadvantages

that being said, Usyk should not be mentioned in the same breath as Clay or Holmes. he has proven absolutely nothing at HW and could not even carry their spit bucket

    Why?
Because Usyk was better amateur boxer than Ali and Holmes toghether?

Because your Ali is overrated as hell, most overratd boxer in forums.
Ali from 60 ies was just damn fast for HW boxers but worse boxer than Huck and Dorticos.
Not a good boxer he was.
Great boxer but not good boxer.

I agree Clay is overrated....overrated might not be the best term, I do believe he has the best legacy in the history of division and one of the better styles H2H...
but I have never bought into the unquestioned a** kissery that he enjoys or the preconceived idea that he hands down beats any other fighter in history....

but please dont hold up Usyks amatuer career as some type of proof of his greatness. if his amatuer career was so important he should have handled a slug like chisora

I my opinion, Ali and Holmes were just better than Usyk. I would favor either over Joshua for the same reason. Fury on the other hand would make it interesting, I still think Ali and Holmes would edge Fury out with their quickness and speed making the difference.

Chisora is very slow boxer but he is good, looks more dangerous than Pulev.
Modern boxers are large, 217 lbs Usyk is not that small. Of course dudes like Pulev are larger size.
Old times HWs were smaller. Marciano probably now was LHW with 175 lbs limit for weight in or at least CW.
    188 lbs?
Clay and Liston in their match were 215 and 220 lbs.
Whyte vs Povetkin was 252 lbs 32 y,o dude.

Ohh, you are from these fans that due their personal obessity are thinking that only HW boxer is dangerous for them and is capable to beat up you personally.

I might surprise your fat ass and brains with imaginable cartoon for your fat brains and obesse body.

Your A.J vs Spong under K–1 rules.

U obesse fatass in armchair might evalue boxer as better just because he is larger and your fat ****'s ass and fat brains are thinking that he is able to beat YOU up?

Then Rigo might be worse thay your fat shitty body and ass and stupid brains?

Ali and juiced up 26 year old Holyfield > 34 year old Usyk

Edit: I read Holmes as Holyfield. I still stand by my point. Usyk isn’t on any of those guys levels.

Yeah. Especially if from 70 ies. He had excellent stamina and chin then.
    60 ies?
He moved too fast for these boxers from 60 ies and wasn't smaller than these. There yes, he had maybe better legs than modern CWs top in last 2 decades and if this with 215 lbs or more weight, this together is amazing and cool.

Now fights are different stilistically but such mobile version like he from 60 ies still is really very fast boxer.

No difference for you of course.
Next kid to get place in my ignore list. Sorry, I do not have time to donate for delusional fans in forums.
I might discuss but you will not be this case.
