Who gives a **** of Bob thought it was possible. Pac's lowest is 140, Loma's highest weight is 135, where he's already small for that weight. Maybe Pac should have taken a fight or two at the 140 limit to prove it was possible. Nope.

 

Bob was trying to make the fight. Lomachenko initially wanted the fight, but then walked away citing specifically that he would get no credit for beating an old man.

Stick with the facts and not your feelings.

I am a MUCH bigger fan of Pac then I have ever been a fan of Loma. I am talking about the difference in size. Can pac even make 140 and be at the top of his game? Highly doubtful. Loma was maxed out at 135.

Pac wanted the fight. Bob wanted the fight. Lomachenko (initially) wanted the fight, but then turned it down.

Whether Pac could have made 135, 137, or 140 is completely and 100% IRRELEVANT.

I don't really understand why you're so confused. Lomachenko ducked Pac. Clear as day.

You do KNOW Campbell, Bogere, and Fortuna — all lightweights — are bigger than Pac on fight night, right? Tank was 146.6 in his fight against Gamboa. Lopez was probably 150+ as are Garcia and Haney.

 

I'm not confused. You're simply trying to push an unrealistic narrative because you love only one fighter.

those other fights mean jack **** to topic. who gives a flying **** what lopez, tank or anyone else weighed when they aren't who we're discussing.

 

Realistically, and amazingly enough, Pacquiao is too much of a risk for little reward to anyone at this point. If they lose to him, considering he's 41 years old, they will look terrible for it and might never recover from it either. If they win, they beat a clearly old past it legend. I really can't blame Lomachenko or anyone else for passing there. It's a nightmare experience to go through and potentially career ending. Even beating an old Pacquiao could make fighters look indefinitely terrible for it.

 

Lomachenko ducked the fight. Don't go into fantasies about how Pac is or isn't able to make weight. That's it. Accept it or don't.

 

Pac's actually 42, which is crazy. And it depends. If Pac gets blown out or takes a hellacious beating, the age is most likely the factor. The win would be diminished some, but the victor isn't going to catch a ton of flack because Pac is an elite legend and showed he has plenty left in the Thurman fight. Similarly, if they lost, it's because Pac is an elite legend with plenty left.

 

Pac cannot make 135 or 140 and be at his best. Even a joyboy should be able to recognize that with Pac's advanced age.

 

That's YOUR opinion. Pac himself has said he could make 135. BEFORE the weigh in of the Matthysse fight, Pac was on Instagram eating a big meal before heading to the hotel or arena.

But still, it's irrelevant. Lomachenko deemed the fight too risky at any weight, so he passed on it.

 

My opinion on that is based on how older fighters react and respond after moving down in weight from their comfort zone. Your opinion on how Pac can make 135-140 is based on you being his biggest fan on this board. Yeah...those are even.
