    Ha!

    Get real.

That video is embarrassing for a professional fighter fighting at the highest level.

Nobody has balance issues like that.

    His footwork is terrible.

    His timing and coordination.

    His technique is awful.

He’s more than earnt his nickname of the ‘Windmill’

Every post you make, you seem to embarrass yourself further.

Some of those photos are from the 70’s, and half of them are from him out of the ring.

Go and look at the 60’s stills of Ali from in the ring.

Go and look at the photos from the Liston fight.

His body was PERFECT for a man of his size and attributes.

Great muscle structure, with a low percentage of body fat.

He didn’t want or need to look like Wlad or AJ, because his great assets were his SPEED and his FOOTWORK.

Wlad and AJ look aesthetically great, but they incorporated a completely different style. Also, AJ has had to lose some weight, as it was a hindrance to him. It sapped his stamina.

It’s no good looking like a body builder when a small and obese Andy Ruiz can run straight through you.

What the hell are you talking about?

    Your posts make me cringe.

Nobody has said that he was massive.

He DIDN’T NEED to be massive.

His body in the 60’s was PERFECT for him.

Ali had a GREAT PHYSIQUE in his PRIME.

Why do you keep embarrassing yourself??

    Muscle mass SLOWS you down.

Again, Ali’s unorthodox style was built around his incredible SPEED.

If he’d have been bigger, he’d have been slower and less effective.

Why on earth do you equate more size to more success??

Being massive and looking great at the weigh-ins don’t win fights.

We’ve seen Corrie Sanders run straight through Wladimir.

Over the last 12 months, we’ve literally seen an obese guy who eats snickers bars run straight through Anthony Joshua.

You mean that you CAN’T answer my question because it DESTROYS your argument.

    I’ll ask you again.

Be a man and answer it.

If boxing keeps evolving over time, then why are there a number of divisions today that are WEAKER than what they were a QUARTER OF A CENTURY ago?

    How is that possible?

And not weaker in terms of being competitive, but weaker in terms of quality.

The fighters today in a number of divisions were not as good as the guys from 25 years ago.

They didn’t have the same level of ability.

    They weren’t as skilled.

So how does the sport keep evolving, when many of today’s guys are LESSER fighters than what they were back then?

    How is it possible??

Stop ducking me and answer the question.

No muscle doesnt slow you down. Look at guys like wilder or canelo.
No alis physique sucks by todays standart.
Doesnt matter that ruiz won, i dont rate aj high and its not about who wins one fight but who dominates a division.

You haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about.

Of course extra mass slows you down.

    It’s a scientific fact.

Your body has to work harder to support and transport the additional weight.

    Your body requires more oxygen.

Joshua slimmed down after fighting Takam and Wlad because his stamina was compromised.

He also slimmed down for the Ruiz rematch. And his coach, Robert McCracken now wants to keep him around that same weight.

    Ali’s physique didn’t suck by today’s standards.

    You are absolutely clueless.

Again, Ali had a PERFECT physique for a man of his size. He was lean. He had great structure, and a very low percentage of body fat. Again, go and look at the photos of him against Liston. If he’d have had more mass, he’d have been slower. He’d have been less effective. He was slower in the 70’s when he was heavier.

You probably just think that Ali looks poor against Liston because most of the photos are in black and white.

    You are completely ignorant.

Having bigger muscles and looking aesthetically better doesn’t translate to the fighters being better.

It’s just another example of your lack of knowledge.

Claiming that Ali didn’t have a great physique because he wasn’t as big and defined as someone like Wlad, is STUPID.

If Wlad wasn’t as big as what he was, his physique would probably have been very different.

Deontay Wilder is almost the same size as Joshua, but he’s weighed-in up to 35 pounds LESS than what Joshua has.

    They have completely different physiques.

If Wilder bulked up an added another 30 plus pounds to his frame where he was up near 250 pounds, then he wouldn’t be as fast and as athletic as what he currently is.

Come back when you have a clue what you’re talking about.

    Stop ducking my question.

If boxing is forever evolving, then why are there a number of divisions today that are now WEAKER than what they were 20-30 years ago?

    Why can’t you answer it?

If division dominating for A.J is fighting 39 y.o underdog in Pulev not Usyk and pride how A.J was capable to run and get earned and honest decision vs Ruiz in rematch after he had been finished IN DISTANCE by Ruiz.
Then no doubts how naive are internet forums boxing fans.
If A.J had 3 rd fight vs Ruiz and had won this, I agreed that he is better boxer than Ruiz. cos then he was 2-1 vs Ruiz.
A.J vs Ruiz is 1-1 and there loss via TKO and win on points.

There better schooled fighters IMO who fought more and the Champions engaged in non title bouts to keep busy not to mention the 15 rd championship fights

Why are people arguing about whether or not boxing has evolved over the last 25-30 years?

Surely nothing revolutionary has happened since the1990s. Boxing was just as "modern" then, as it is now.

The OP mentions the 20s/30s... so why no discussion about that era, compared to more modern times?

He had a great physique for his frame and he didn’t need to be any bigger.

This clown is trying to say that he had a poor physique because he wasn’t huge and cut like Wladimir was.

    He’s an idiot.
