Why didn't the Klitschko bros mix it up with the American heavies?

I am not. That is speculationon on your part. Ithought Vitali was ahead by 2-3 points and Byrd was definitely coming on.Keep in mind that I have seen a number of fighters finishing fights with these kind of injuries.

Yeah Byrd was coming on because of Vitali injury.. Vitali was ahead like 7/3 in rounds
Byrd never knocked out anyone relevant ... and Vitali is known to have a great chin

that is fine although I saw it a bit closer. I do not think Vitali had an easy time with Byrd m.So I doubt he would have with Toney.

Perhaps Byrd was coming on because he took a long ass time to adapt to the situation given he only took the fight on a weeks notice and without any preparation or training.

You'd think this greatest and bestest HW H2H monster that ever lived would have been able to blow away a 208 pound feather fist o while he was just standing there trying to figure out what to do.

It only took Ike Ibeauchi one round before he dragged a much better prepared Byrd into deep waters. Vitali never adapted to Byrd , it was Byrd who adapted to Vitali.. Thats why Vitali wanted no part of the rematch. Byrd style caused him frustration and injury.
He chose Timmo Hoffman instead of trying to win back the belt he lost against a one week notice cherry pick. lol!

Id agree that Klitschko's would have beaten Toney , because Toney really had no business at HW.

The landscape being the worst talent pool in the history of the division allowed Tony be ranked as high as #3 by Ring!!

As mentioned none of the fights, even if possible, would have been anything resembling competitive. That was not the Klits fault, but the general American Heavyweight slump of the time, did them few favours either; costing them money, and failing to give them the chance to answer their critics.

Had they fought Toney and shut him out, hell, maybe deliver such a methodical beating that Roach throws in the towel, these would be the first posters saying "They fought a washed up middleweight, they scared of (insert guy they haven't fought yet.)

About like Dino who spent 10 years of his life arguing daily that Wlad would lose almost every fight and was ducking someone he'd eventually fight and beat.

50,000 posts...same garbage. Zero credibility. Nobody will ever objectively listen these posters. Now we are several years removed from these men's last fights, and these same people are still fighting an uphill battle whenever something positive is written on this forum on the K Bros. Sad.

I can't imagine such a life. Dino should have honored his ban bet years ago, maybe he would be happy and have a real life by now.

Where do you have the proof that Vitali avoided revenge with Byrd?
Vitali lost due to a injury..
Vitali was preparing to fight Razor Ruddock ... Byrd was in the best condition of his career for this fight anyway

I don't think Toney would have been as dangerous against Vitali, however, against Wlad he would always have that sneaking ability to land a good counter that could rock him. Toney had a granite chin and could take enough punishment to lure Wlad into a trap.

I think Wlad is more likely to beat Toney but stylistically he had a chance. Vitali's chin was way too good to get suckered into a fight ending punch.

Byrd was under contract by both Klitschkos who he claimed were his promoters.. He said Universum made him fight Wlad instead of Vitali. .
Vitali simply did not trigger the rematch clause he had over Byrd. He avoid the fight , plain and simple.
Can you prove Vitali wanted to take the rematch?

And no , Byrd was not in the best anything. .He got off the couch on a weeks notice to travel to Germany weighing 208 pounds to fight a guy he had never seen any footage on.. His words , not mine

Yeah , Byrd didn't find it too difficult to land body shots to the mid sector of Vitali
