Listen to Eddie, he is telling everybody, all people need to do is stop listening to cheer leaders like the Sky Sports Boxing team and list to Eddie.

Eddie has said he was bombarded online by Albanian boxing fans to sign Marku, make the Benn fight, Eddie has said he is gutted there are no fans because the place would be packed out with crazy Albanians.

Eddie isn't talking about Marku and his ability, he is talking about fans and tickets, digital hits and fanbase.

Marku hasn't shown anything to get excited about, he had some beef with Ohara online, there where some gym rumours and he has rode the wave of that, talked loudly and got himself a deal.

Fair play to him, he has got himself a platform and that is something.

Have a look at his record, there is zero on there, sure he won his last fight against a 2-0 Jamie Stewart and was given a draw.

He went the distance with 3-1 Nathan Bendon, Bendon himself has since drawn with 9-30-4 Nathan Hardy.

The form lines are really not great so I have no idea where this reputation has come from.

Marku claims to be a warrior, claims he will fight anybody but didn't want Kongo who was a couple of pounds over, Marku himself could have came in a couple of pounds over, Marku made excuses about glove sizes and went and fought Jamie Stewart.

Ok fair enough, Marku could have fought Kongo next, seemed a natural choice but chose not to, went after 6-0-1 Clarke.

Only a matter of time before Marku gets served up, but just like Babic.. Eddie will try and milk it for all it's worth until he has zero choice but to increase the level of opposition.

These guys are British level max. The order is:
    1. Kelly
    2. Kongo
    3. Benn
Then you have Charlton who will beat Marku unless he gets robbed.

However, one to watch out for is Michael Mckinson. Conor Benn keeps calling for big fights. If he doesn't fight Kelly next he should be fighting Kongo or Mckinson, who is ranked in the top 10 with the WBO.

Charlton trains not far from where I live and I know someone who spars with him, I want him to do well, Norwich needs a bit of a lift at the moment with boxing so it would be nice to see Charlton continue to raise his profile, Laws and Marku are two pretty decent back to back domestic dust ups. I'm not going to get too carried away with the Laws win but I was impressed with how Charlton dealt with him and in turn put his name out there.

Would be interested to know who you know in Norwich that spars Rylan Charlton. As when I see him in London gyms he always says he can not get any rounds in his home town. Hence why he always travels around for rounds to London and midlands.

Charlton for me. Marku failed to impress in his last fight against a durable but limited fighter. Will be fun to watch though and could probably end in a KO.

He posted on his Instagram that he'd sparred with in old workmate of mine, an amateur boxer who trains with Charlton at the Elite Gym in Norwich. Granted it was a while back as I don't use Instagram anymore really so things may have changed now, the amateur in question is decent though and one tough lad.

Really good matchup. I cant really pick a winner. I think Charlton is the slightly neater and all round better fighter but I see marku being maybe slightly bigger naturally. He has always been a solid welter and Stewart that I thought he beat last time out is a big welter and probably ends up a light middle. I see Charlton as quite a small ish welter he could probably still make light welter of an opportunity came up. Normally I wouldnt say such a slight size advantage counts but with two come forward fighters looking to end it I think it does. Cant pick a winner. True 50/50

I've only seen Charlton when he upset the applecart against Joe Laws and he looked impressive but that said, Laws was very crude.

Charlton from what I’ve seen is a light welter. Be nice to see him at light welter in an exciting fight if he gets through Marku.

From what I’ve seen of him the English title at lightwelter is achievable.

If Charlton can get past the first few rounds then I think he will win, it all depends how he handles that initial onslaught.

Looking forward to this -- charlton for me. One thing Marku does look is tough so it should be a war and I think itll go to points. Nowehere to go for Marku if he loses this one.
Thing that annoys me is how this is how charlton openly said hes not a welter but has been pushed into this one to sign with Matchroom but to be fair i reckon they just dont see this as a very hard one and he will drop down after

I can’t help but think Rylan Charlton is also being overrated here. If Joe Laws wasn’t as good as they made out, and clearly he wasn’t, then that victory wasn’t the be all and end all. So then you need to look at Charlton’s record outside of him. Nothing particularly interesting, a draw against an unheralded boxer. So perhaps because Marku is starting to look slightly over-rated himself, we are guilty of over-egging his opponent because of the “A-Side”s shortcomings?

My take on the contest is this. These are two very very similar boxers, especially of their last performance. They are both economical with their punches though Marku is the better combination puncher. When they hurt their opponent, Marku will often throw a good amount of punches to try and force the stoppage, whereas Charlton will look for the single shot - he did this against Joe Laws. The bout itself could either be a classic or a bit of a bore. Marku’s stance is a little more open as he looks to pick his shots whereas Charlton keeps a high guard and tries to box behind a jab to find his openings. You can see both boxers standing off with low punch outputs - nervous to over-commit and get caught, or you could equally see them happy to stand close together and trade classy punches. It will definitely come down to game plan and if they both come to scrap it could be a classic, though the worry is they box over-cautiously.

I think Marku can ride a better shot than Charlton - Charlton looked solid against Laws but did get caught once or twice with eye catching single body shots and the odd head shot. My prediction is that it will be close early on, but Marku will land the more eye catching shots and have a slightly higher output that will have him bank the close early rounds. This will encourage Charlton to start taking chances, which will play further into Marku’s hands and he will then start to land more often as the bout progresses. If Charlton goes for broke, he could get stopped by a solid Florian, and if he goes to survival mode he will be out worked and lose a wide UD.

    Exactly

Marku doesn't appear to have a plan B if the initial onslaught fails
