Jones got slept. AJ has never been slept. Fighters who get knocked out in the heavy weight should be given the benefit of the doubt. These are 250 lb men landing flush bombs on your chin not 165 lb super welterweights. Most people who say AJ has a glass jaw are almost always the same people who make it their goal to criticise him on anything he does. Can’t separate their bias to make an objective opinion. Glass jaws don’t take monster right hands from Klitschko and get up to win the fight.

I agree, Nigel Benn wasn`t allowed to spar while at middleweight in the late 80`s because his jaw and defense were suspect, he turned all that around by beating G-man, I believe what you`re saying about Roy`s dad, he wouldn`t even let Roy fight any decent fighters but nobody should be trying to knock anyone out in sparring anyway.

Jones was a defensive counter puncher with a low workrate, he was very careful early on in a lot of his title fights pot-shotting, AJ went looking for the knockout v Ruiz and Wlad that`s why got stopped by Ruiz, he fought more like a slow version of Jones in his rematch v Ruiz.

He has a dodgy chin, probably worse than Wlad or Lewis. Just say it.

For my money Wlad went a long way with a suspect chin.

Worse than Lewis? Lol did Lewis have a bad chin?
And AJ took shots from Whyte, Klitschko, Povetkin... He does not have a bad chin.

AJ has never been slept, but neither was Roy until he was 35 and he’d had over 50 fights.

It was also in his 3rd weight from a guy weighing 180 plus pounds, not 165 pounds.

The other knockouts came up at CW when he was in his 40’s.

AJ hasn’t got a glass jaw. But I doubt we’ll see him fight into his 40’s. And I doubt we’ll see him have 50 plus fights.

You can’t be making any sort of comparisons at this stage, when he’s still in his prime and he’s only had 25 fights.

Lennox Lewis was a glass jawed bum too. Only got away with it by fighting bums his whole career still got iced by Rahman and McCall, 2 bums.. Vitali had him dancing all over the ring too but Vitali ate his shots like they were nothing

This. Hardly a coincidence that he suddenly became apparently glass chinned after ruining himself with the weight cut from Heavy back down to LHW, he looked a shadow of what he had been in the first Tarver fight, was clearly badly weakened.
Now I'm not saying Roy didn't have a glass jaw before that, perhaps he did, but apart from a flash KD against Del Valle there isn't a shred of evidence for it, was never hurt or stunned in the pros or as far as I know in the amateurs pre Tarver 1, no sparring rumours either. Of course that could all be attributed to his amazing reflexes and the fact that he rarely if ever got hit flush but facts are facts, never seriously hurt once pre HW weight cut.

He had glass confidence that made him wobble around and panic from being grazed.
