Let me ask you a question dude, why did you get mad at me? It's just an opinion. I have used this forum to post things about boxing since 2007 and I can post whatever I want as long as they relate to boxing. If you don't like my threads then don't read them and STFU!!!
Or alternatively call you out for posting POS threads with no validity to them so you might learn in future not to be such a dingbat.
The super series has run TWO CW tourneys.. Usyks exploits got him a p4p rating. So people clearly see interest in it dum dum.. CW contests down the years have sold out arenas all over Europe.. It has given us the likes of Haye, Usyk, Holy, Adamek etc So ye, we'll keep it thanks..
no, but there should be a new division made between LHW and CW.... how can you go from a jump of 25 pounds with nothing in between? LHW is 175lbs, CW is 200lbs.... considering some of the lighter weight divisions are only separated by 5 pounds, why is there nothing in between? like a 185 divison? Junior Cruiserweight lol
Around 1988 or 89, I read a Ring magazine article on CW champ Robert Daniels that asked how his life had changed since winning the title. He said his next door neighbors had no clue who he was. & this was about a decade into the division. Is it true that cruiserweight beat out the word Junior Heavyweight because it led to confusion as to which division was heaviest light heavy or junior heavy? end result cruiser was used? Not saying the word itself has caused some to feign interest, but there has to be a tangible reason why name recognition eludes specific size that actually won Marciano or Louis a title. But because they won the HW title at 190-200...seems weird we don't like that size in a fighter today when it is packaged as a CW. Every now and then only one guy seems to lighten up the division. They leave & its back to obscurity. I'd imagine either Haye or Uysk has the best PPV numbers?
I suggest you to get the **** outta my thread dude so that we can end our arguements. I don't need your responds, critics, instructions, insults, or whatever. Just simply leave it alone. You don't have to tell me to do this or to say that to make you satisfy. O.K.? Don't try to make yourself to be the mod in this forum because you're not. You are just another poster who gets upset easily whenever someone post threads or comments that you don't like or you don't agree with. BS!!! A narrow minded person if you like.
Good thread , This division is a fine division ,as many have stated prior in the thread it's an ideal weight to cut your teeth if you're a small heavy or a larhe Lightheavy , I could just imagine some poor 6 foot 2 175lbs guy who can no longer make weight jump straight into the land of the giants these days, if we didn't have it we could have missed out on some really fine fights and fighters who fall into the categories I stated.
Just seems that having a division between Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight doesn't make sense. But neither do all the supers and juniors. Maybe a name change like I dont know Ironweight or something
Why? Because champs aren't from U.S or U.K division is bad? Sorry, me more likes competitive matchups and guys like Dorticos and Tabiti than A.J and his fanboiZ. Where we during last years had saw a lot normally competitive fights with fighters close in their ranking and age? Dorticos had gave me more unpredictable fights and fun than A.J. Just because they aren't HW dudes 240 lbs +? Now they will offer fight A.J vs 39 y.o old Pulev.
Weight limits too should not be changed at all. Let's remain 175-200lbs CW. If someone wish, they might offer 200-225 lbs super cruiser division for fun. More divisions, more belts.
Im saying that the name light heavyweight implues that the next step up is heavyweight. Having a whole division in between name-wise doesnt make sense. Im aware of the weight difference but maybe the cruiserweight division should be renamed light heavyweight and then find another term for 175
In LHW does compete also dudes not even capable to make more than 190 lbs. To put these vs Lerena, Briedis, Okolie ? I think idea 175 lbs = LHW and 200 lbs = CW is good thing. Name for divisions might be changed but no weight limit for CW >175 lbs < 200 lbs should remain.
